A question I've always had

I frequently see people riding with their moonroof's popped up while driving in the rain. Does water not get in your car while doing this?

Never tried it. Maybe they're smoking a cigarette. My guess is NO unless the car is stopped.

depends on how heavy and the direction of the rain is. wouldn't recommend it, last thing you want is mold to form in the car.

I always do it and no water gets in while in motion but when I'm breaking for a red light on a decline all the water droplets that builds up on the roof rolls on in :'(

Leave mine popped up due to this extreme heat here in the NE and there have been a few really bad sudden rain storms while my car is parked, and there is a tray that catches the water and sends it to the drains. I've yet to have a wet roof liner or interior and we have had some serious downpours, I'm sure if the wind was blowing from the back of the car to the front it would be a different story but the design seems to keep water from actually entering the interior pretty well.

I've never seen this, and probably wouldn't do it for obvious reasons -- water leaking in. But I suppose if you're cruising along at a good speed, the water never makes it into the cabin.

I don't understand; why not just use a/c. Don't play the BS "Gas is too expensive" line haha.

i ride with my windows cracked open even with my A/C on because i don't like to block myself out from the outside world, makes it very difficult to hear brakes squealing, metal crunching, shouting, horns, and sirens if you have windows closed, A/C on, and some music going

Heat rises, open sunroof allows hot air to escape. Good tactic for keeping a cool head while driving in NYC rush hour traffic lmfao

yeah I've noticed if you use auto and have the setting at like 62 degrees or lower it will recirculate the air in the cabin. No need for the heat to go out through the sun roof.
