Question for Euro Owners CU2

I HAVE A US 2012 WAGON.
the rear A emblem has 2 mounting holes on my US model. 2 holes in the rear hatch to hold the emblem.

I am interested in either a H or a RED H for the rear. the red one will cover the holes and stick on...........BUT now

my query: do we KNOW that the holes for the H on your euro model are the same holes for my A on my US model.

Not sure if this is of much help but here's the type of badge that we use on the sedans: http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/2-x-OEM-H...3b5a512&_uhb=1

We don't have the tourer model in Australia so I'm not sure if it's the same for that?

Yeah its an exact fit. I used these instructions. I thought I would have to disassemble the inside of the hatch, but I just heated it then dental floss. After the adhesive was removed, I used two interior pry tools to pop it out of those clips. Then followed these instructions. Hope this helps after all the bugging I did.

I thought Acura was a luxury brand in the US? How come you want to put a Honda badge on it... wouldn't that be like putting a VW badge on an Audi?

The manual shows tape top n bottom of ring and two push ins. As you posted. I would suggest getting a set to calm the bugging out

My query was around WHAT to use to fills the holes; what else have peeps used.

The H is an option but I will most likely have another custom badge made.

If I install my JDM grille it will have custom NOT THE H.

Although I'd want to assure that those holes are well protected from corrosion.

Now, we know that the rear bumper of the Euro wagon is different. Are we sure that the hatch itself is the same?

or worse a VW badge on a Porsche

I assume its the JDM thing. they sell the TSX in EU Labeled an Accord. So they make parts for both markets. So if the factory can rebadge so can we.

I know this is off topic but I find it all a bit confusing. I don't understand how parking sensors, black woodgrain, 18" wheels, premium 10 speaker surround, etc. aren't standard on your base TSX while it is on our middle spec'd variant and here it's just a Honda that's trying to outsell the Camry.

Is the TSX actually aimed as a competitor to the C/3/A4/IS or is it a bit below?

- Still a brilliant car, we like to justify that we're getting a premium car for a great price here as all the prestige badges are ridiculously marked up.

Australia! It's actually called the "Accord Euro" here and sold alongside the normal US "Accord" - one of the only markets where they both exist side by side. The Acura marque is non-existant here.

I just remembered that our version is stripped of things that proper European Accord's have. Our models don't even come with the option of Lane Assist, radar guided cruise and anti-collision self breaking when it detects something infront of it. We don't get mirrors that auto-fold when they're locked either

I guess they're the true luxury defining features that the TSX gains over a normal "Accord" in the US as well? You have to step up to a top of the line IS250 before you gain those features in our market.

We don't get any of those options in the US either. Our TSX's are devoid of parking sensors or power folding mirrors but the rear parking sensors are a dealer installed option.

Currently, the Accord has more features than the TSX.

Don't forget to change the "A" emblems on the front, steering wheel, center caps, and valve cover too.

Oh, I haven't seen many Euro grilles on this forum! Hehe, lucky you. I was trying to help Ed find a grille while he was searching but we could never get anyone to ship them to the US. Shipping must have been a killer?

Ironically, I picked up a cheap facelift bumper for my CU2 and I'm not sure if I like the Acura grille or the facelift Euro grille better but I think it'd be a bit strange to have an Acura badge in Australia as the brand was never sold here.

Oh, that's like the base model prestige cars sold here. I think they just spec' it up according to the competition within the segment?

Exactly. Even though you are taking a step down from Acura and branding it a Honda, it will make people stop and look since it isn't sold here. It's all about being different.

Based on my observation of your build thread, I don't think you are just gonna put them straight on. I wanted to do a dark tint on a set, but my wife doesn't like red. I wish they had an illuminated version, I'm sure you have seen all the JDM cars that have it(mostly toyota/lexus). So, any teasers?

FYI my emblem guy should be able to make you a knockoff say the H but with blue not red.

The lighted emblems are a bit ricey IMO

I might put s lighted one on top of the motor.

I put the red H on the front and I took a clue from your grille and I did just the bars and not the outside.
am having a custom badge made but could not wait so put the H on.
