Project teaser...?
Well not really, but im mulling over the logistics of creating my own lighted door sills (ive given it lots o' consideration in the past) and now that i have graduated from elementary school i have some more time to give it some thought.
This is just a mockup of what i hope the final product will be like once its completed, here i used the "TSX" logo but i hope the end product will look like this (thanks cu2 guys):
I decided to go with the TSX logo since its really simple and i didnt wanna waste a ton of time cutting out the acura lettering for a mockup
1) dremel, spray paint, printer, sandpaper
2) exacto knife and some stuff i just learned in 8th grade:
3) my beautiful hand
4) externally wired via battery pack
OPINIONS WELCOME OR WHATEVER

good stuff killer, i think this proves several things:
1. you actually do own a tsx
2. you dont just troll around on the forum and do nothing productive. this is a 1st for us
3. you are not as much of a douchebag as many had previously thought.
4. but you are still a tool.
<3
but i have to say, great job man. i'd prefer, instead of cf vinyl, some aluminum would look classy. but now it looks pretty balling, very nicely done !

im still not 100% sure how ill do the final myself, i have a couple ideas im kicking around and waiting to hear back from some people in the meantime
heres another shot, this is just an acura stencil i had done a few weeks ago and never posted it here.
What do you think, acura logo, or TSX logo?

also, spot on interpretation, im indian, which i guess is like...half white half asian?
Im sure id get really tired of explaining killerG to my real life friends after the first few times lol
I use lots of "special" moisturizer keeps my skin great
Well thats the big question, im waiting to hear back from some sign companies and see what kinda price they quote me depending on the material. I got the idea for CF vinyl cause i figured it would keep costs down. Originally I was gonna make these 100% myself but its really impossible to get a perfect OEM look with just an exacto knife
If the sign companies dont work out or it turns out to be too expensive to produce them even out of like plexiglass or something, im gonna with plan B which is incredibly cheap and bootleg idea i have but who gives a fuck
I actually have clear door sills i created because I molded the originals in special material and cast them in clear resin. They came out pretty good (a whole another fiasco/project) but theres no way to get the lettering perfect and balsa wood was easier to work with for this test

well, i can send you a whole load, but it might take a while
its a very hands on process to produce it, sometimes its not easy and it requires a steady hand. . i'll get in touch with my supplier. once i get a firm grip on the production date ill be sure to shoot you a msg.

I doubt anyone will see this but i dont feel like making a new thread and flooding the forum with my bullshit:
Im close to wrapping it up and finalizing my design for cutting, the final designs are in vector format and i am deciding between two types, for simplicitys sake i added color and a CF background
The flank lines have been shortened (needs to be this length for my lighting apparatus) and the TSX logo is under strong consideration
YOUR OPINION
is valuable. please leave it.

At the moment, i dont think i will ever do the rears, the rears are curved so i cant think of a good way to replicate these pieces faithfully AND have them cut at a reasonable price
The rears are just gonna get CF vinyled so they match with the front
