Plastic honeycomb in grille
Plastic honeycomb in grille
Ever since I saw the first spy shots of the 2nd generation TSX, I cant help but cringe not at the grille itself, but the honeycomb plastic used under the plenum and especially in the air dam below it.
Does anyone else not like it?
Granted, its a minor gripe, but I wonder if anyone has freshened it up by removing it from the stock bumper or replacing it with anything other than metal mesh (so 5 years ago!).

The plastic underneath the power is not "honeycomb" since a true honeycomb will be made up of hexagon shapes. But I agree that the "rectangular" pattern is very weak structurally and they should have used a true hexagon, or another pattern that is stronger. Right now, it appears to be warped.
