Painting grille

I recently purchased a 2010 TSX V6, and was wondering was there any way to paint the center part of the grille without it chipping off. I wanted to paint it black but afraid it will chip off the crome. Any suggestions?

Honestly, painting really is not physically all that hard. You just have to take your time and pay attention to detail. The sanding process is incredibly incredibly important. I used a generic rattle can to paint my grille and its held up on the chrome perfectly. I do have like 4 layers of clear coat though :P
