That oil life indicator.. If you accidently click on "reset" on the steering wheel, does it bring it back to 100% as if the oil has been recently changed or only temporairly until it gets another reading as to what the life of the oil is?

 

not a 100% sure but that wont reset the life indicator. check ur manual on exactly how to do that. the reset just does the trip counters

 

There is a section near the end of the manual (Maintenance minder)on how to reset the the oil life display. You actually have to hold the SEL/RESET button for at least 10 seconds and then hit the reset again to reset it to 100%.

Your car is new, I did not change oil and filter - A1 service until 11,000 km.
