Hi all,

New member here! I'm excited as I will soon be the owner of a PWP 6MT TSX w/ tech pkg! This is my first Acura, and my first "luxury" car. To know where I'm coming from, I've owned 2 Honda Civics and currently driving a Honda Fit. So going to a TSX is a nice upgrade for me, both in terms of creature comforts as well as performance. I won't be picking up the car until some time next week, but I did take a test drive of a 5AT this past weekend and knew it was the car for me. I had also test driven a TL, but somehow it felt 'too big' for me. I'm perfectly satisfied with the performance from the 2.4 and am more excited to play with the little luxury features as I've never had them before.. lol

Nice. I felt the exact same way after driving the TL and many other cars. TSX is for me and I'm excited to be getting one. I'm in the same boat as 09TSX; won't be getting it for at least a month. They have to order it to be made for me. Mine will also be a 6MT Tech but Grigio.

I'll be going from a '94 Ford Escort with 170,000 miles on it to an '09 TSX, haha.

Draconis77....I hope you are not married or have a g/f because I don't think she'll see much of you once you go from your Ford Escort to the TSX!! And you will get more stare at traffic lights, but for the right reasons this time (smile)

Enjoy your TSX, looks like we're in the same boat...that makes me feel better!!

Haha, I am married actually. She's the one urging me to get it with everything I want (I'll likely be getting the ebony rims and some of the body kit upgrades). I use my car for work so I drive a lot and spend a lot of time in the car. Figured it was about time for me to be in one that I like.

Thanks man. I knew if I was getting the car, it'd have to be the way I want it. In this case, PWP 6MT, tech pkg w/ ebony leather. Long story short, they initially said I'd have to order mine and it'd be in around August. But I got a call the next day saying they found 1 lone tsx matching what i wanted 1000 miles away at a different dealership and bought it from them for me. So i got lucky.

Yes I am. Though I'm not sure what I will be getting yet. The ones that come stock I plan on having winter tires put on and only use them during the winter.

chibianh, you sound just like me. i just upgraded to the '09 tsx from a 98 honda civic, and im thrilled with the difference. the civic was the only car ive had since turning 16, and i was sad to see it go.. but that feeling went away pretty quick once i drove the tsx off the lot. im getting a lot of stares (at least a couple "nice car"s). and im definitely feeling the same way about the tl. i posted in another thread that i was loaned an 08 tl while my lip spoiler was installed on the tsx, and while there was a fair amount of get-up-and-go, the car itself felt too big for me. one thing that is probably minor, but made a big difference in my mind, is the size of the '08 tl steering wheel vs. the 09 tsx. i felt like i was driving my civic again in the tl. for some reason, that fat steering wheel does wonders for the feel of the car while you're driving.

loving mine so far.. you will too.
