My New(used) TSX and some issues with it

Hello guys,
i am a new Acura TSX owner, love the car, leather interior and everything.

So far i replaced all four tires and did alignment.
now to the issues i have.
one of the foglight screen is cracked, i have always wanted to get yellow fogs so i think this will be a good time to replace the screen. i checked into other forums and they have used LEXAN screen. i will do that but at the sam time i want to add yellow fogs to it also, so ill wait for summer.

the other issue is that my driver side door wont unlock most of the time when i turn the car off. or if i try to do it with my keyfob. it works some times, but most of the time it wont work.
is there a problem with the actuator? if yes how hard is it to replace and how much will it cost me?

oh one more thing?
should i use premium fuel or the regular will work fine?

once again thanks alot for all the replies, i really appreciate it.
thanks

Yeah it does sound like your door lock actuator might be bad. It's easy to get it out but i'm not sure how much it would cost. see this website here: http://www.acurapartswarehouse.com/P...olorLabelID=-1

You can use reglar fuel also, no problems.

Yea Acura claims that but it really doesn't. Lots of people run the 1 and 2g TSX on regular gas without issue.

Personally i run 93, but also mainly because I run a Hondata tune also.

Why don't you take it to a mechanic or a brakes specialist who can take a look at them and tell you what you need to do. If the rotors haven't been resurfaced yet, you can get it resurfaced but you have to get new brake pads. If you replace the rotors, you don't have to replace your brake pads. I had a first gen tsx at the time and I chose the first choice. OEM rotors aren't cheap. :/

Just recently purchased a 2010 TSX w/40k miles. Had overall inspection at Acura dealership with oil change. My rear pads were 90% gone, fronts 80% remaining. Replaced rears and resurfaced.

I go with 93 octane - have never found 91. I imagine you could save a few cents if you rotate partial fill ups between 89 and 93, but I don't bother.

Out of curiosity, where do you guys find 93 octane? I have only seen 87 89 and 91 my whole life, living in the Bay Area.

93 octane... I could only wish! That's a 12 hour drive to Quebec! I use 91 every 3rd or 4th tank, otherwise it only gets the horrible Esso-refined 87 octane. The only difference I notice is the psychological piece of mind.
