Looking to buy a TSX

Hello,

New to the forum but I have been driving a 2005 RSX Type S for 8 years now.
I am looking at buying either a 2012 TSX or possibly a 2011.

Has anyone bought a 2012 in the past 2 months? What was your OTD price?

I haven't started to negotiate but was wondering if it's possible to get a base TSX for under 28 k.

Thanks

You want it for $28k OTD? Not a direct comparison, but I bought a 2012 TSX Sport Wagon a month ago, and I paid $27.7k before TTL.

Bought a 2010 Acura tsx with the tech package four months ago for 25K OTD, it had 47K on it and it also had full warranty until 2016 or 100,000Miles. I found many different TSX's around my area (Chicago-land) for a few grand under your 28K. You can settle for a low mile 2010 for something like this:

http://www.acura.com/tools/cpo/Vehic...dasc&model=TSX

http://www.acura.com/tools/cpo/Vehic...dasc&model=TSX

http://www.acura.com/tools/cpo/Vehic...dTSX&model=TSX

If I was you I'd go for a 2010 with the V6 and tech package, I don't think you'll find AS good deals in your area compared to chicago. Like this 2010 V6 with tech and with 36k on it for 27,500. http://www.acura.com/tools/cpo/Vehic...dasc&model=TSX

Even a 2010 low mile TSX is 25K, go for it. http://www.acura.com/tools/cpo/Vehic...dasc&model=TSX

There is some used in my area...

2011 Base TSX with 19k for $23,888
2010 Tech TSX with 38K for 23,999
2010 Tech V6 with 39k for 23,900 Certified.

Thoughts?

Well it all depends if you want a V6 or not, also do you have any want/need for a tech package? Atleast in my area you can get a good 2010 tsx with tech package and with 30k for about 24K so its up to you if you want tech, it's a lot better for my needs.

Wait only one of them is certified? All the tsx's I looked up are CPO.

This. OTD price is useless since taxes and fees vary widely.

Get a 2010 tsx tech I just got mine about two weeks ago has 24k miles is a tech and I got it for 25k otd!!! The 2012 is more expensive I think you might make it with 30k otd but than again anything in NY is expensive. Don't settle for a base model you can find a good tech

Agreed. I've never understood why anything but the price paid for the car (only) is of any value. The final price varies wildly from state to state (even city to city in some states). Also, car prices (and the TSX in particular it seems) are very regional. A good deal in Boston may not be a good deal in Houston, so be careful when comparing prices too. But, we're pretty well represented here, so if anyone feels the need for moral support (or validation) on a price for a car, chances are you can find someone (at least one) who is not too far away.
