laminx tint on chrome

I had a small sample of lamin-x tint, so I decided to try it out on one of my door handles. I'm not sure if I like it or not, will probably leave it on a few days and see if it grows on me. Has any one done this to their door handles? Any pictures of how it looks?

I like it. Just do the whole door handle.

Looks great but you need to do the other half of the handle.

The tint has some lighter spots on it, when I looked at it today. I don't know if there is some moisture trapped under, or what is causing that. If I do it, I will do the whole handle, I just had 1 4x8 sample sheet. It turns out that it isn't enough to do even the left side of the handle, the very left edge is slightly uncovered, so I think it will require a bigger sheet.

This is what I have planned for my window trim and if I had any leftover vinyl I'm going to do the handles as well. The vinyl 'm using is Oracal 8300

Here's some test I did.

I hate the chrome handles as some of you may know so I think this looks great. From my experience of LaminX on my head/tail lights isnt the material thick? The handle must feel weird now lol.

Yeah, the film is pretty thick. But it doesn't feel much different on the handle. I think the thickness makes it harder to install though. I peeled mine off because I had some areas that had moisture trapped underneath causing it to look lighter in some spots. I like the way your vinyl looks, the laminx sort of has that purplish look of cheap window tint.

I want black chrome, like the cu2 concept in Japan. It looks sexy.
