i think you'll be the second one to have red tinted tails. i think Acura should've made the rear clear turn signals red to begin with.

this is a good $10 mod to make it more OEM.

$10? Where'd you get your overlays?

I got them at a local shop in Van Nuys, CA. I did the install myself. It's pretty easy.

They do shipping as well. $4.95 a sheet

Wonder if anyone else noticed rims on the dyno before he put them on lol.... did you have to install resistors for your drls? I hate the yellow as well. Thinking about making the fogs 5k leds rather than HID's... not sure of the benefits of either one though.

so update on my car. i installed the red overlays. all i can say is that the corner part is ridiculously frustrating to get right. And it still a little sticking out at the top of the corner. i am probably going to buy another sheet to do it, only this time, i'm going to take out my tail lights.

as for the reverse lights, i'm thinking of using some tracing paper to make an outline of the light where the reverse light is, cut a smaller square for where the reverse lights are (something like how the mdx or 3series reverse lights are...tiny). then transfer over to the red overlays.

now onto the bad news...
so i took my car to the dealership to get an oil change. I wanted them to check my key fobs and locks because for the past two months, i've been having problems locking and unlocking my car. Sometimes, I can't even unlock my car from 20ft away and when I get close to my car, I would have to get near the driver door or towards the front of the car to lock my car. It's almost like my car is PMSing on me. works sometimes and sometimes doesn't want to.

So the service advisor (know him for a while), told me along with the head mechanic at the dealership, said that they can't figure out what's wrong. Told me the same exact thing what I noticed. So, I have to leave my car for a couple days, so they can call up Acura in California to do a flow chart on what's wrong with my car.

I think it might just be the sensor that picks up the keyfob is malfunctioning. So got my loaner car. A 2010 TSX. With the aero kit. Man, if only I had a hour when I had both, I would've swapped every bad part from my car to the loaner lol. I already miss my car. Didn't realize the stock car rides quietly (probably because I took the air resonator box, muffler, low-profile tires, lowered car) lol

i tried the smaller red vinyl tint on the reverse light to simulate the BMW 3 series reverse lights. it doesnt look good. the clear part left over will turn out pink due to the chrome reflection inside of the taillight.

I am using the iJDMtoy DRL right now. My Nokya DRL are back in the box. Aesthetically, the iJDMtoy is better. For functionality, the Nokya are better. Then again LED vs. Halogen.

Found a couple auctions on ebay for some yellow bulbs for the front turns...not sure if any of them are of the 2500k nature but all the others look amber.

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/7528-...item27bc55a041

or

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/2X-11...item35b38f4952

Dunno if those bulbs will produce a yellow or amber light...if its amber, then clearing out your headlights was pointless...haha

How much did that run you? Got a speeding ticket last year in Vermont which cost me a bit...I forget if it was 150 or so or 250...trying to block that bad memory from my brain...always wondered if they were worth it and what repercussions there were if you get caught with one. Does anyone have any first hand experiences?

I got mine off ebay from escort themselves. its an refurbished Escort Passport 8500 with factory warranty. Their ebay seller ID is "escortradar". I also bought from them the direct wire cord. Radar cost $149.95 and the direct power cord cost $14.95.

Heh I've had three speeding tickets when i was 17. And one of them was real bad. Got caught on I95 doing 105mph in a 70mph. I actually was doing close to 120mph. I was lucky enough to not get my car impounded. Ticket was crazy. On top of that, I was in ROTC at the time, and literally got my ass chewed by my colonel. And to top it off, parents. Anyways that was a long time ago and definitely lost the need to speed recklessly.

But having the radar helps you know when you're over by like 5.

As for repercussions, its legal in Florida so I'm safe.

haha when i was 17, i got caught doing 60 on a 40. it was like a week before my 18th bday, and since i was still a minor, i had to go to court with my mom (3 times due to several difficulties), pay 300 bucks just for the ticket, and 8 hours of traffic school (and of course, pay for that too).

i stop speeding ever since

It runs up the middle stalk and into the headliner. I cut the direct cord and just tapped the wires to my lights.

i got caught going 83 on 65 at 1:00am. this was BEFORE I HAD MY LICENSE!! with mom's car and i did it bc my brother snuck out of ucr to see his gf and he needed a ride back bc he had class in 5 hours lol!

when i was in the process of pulling over, i 3-way'ed my brothers and they told me what to do. i kept my bluetooth earpiece on so they could hear the cop and could tell me what to say. after telling the cop THE TRUTH!

he said "ehh. im tired. this is the end of my shift. go home. do good in school. dont do drugs. (walks away for a bit...) AND I BETTER NOT SEE YOU GO OVER 55!"

i will NEVER forget that. first ticket. coolest cop in the world. my balls had never dropped so far down...scariest shit of my life.

little update. nothing new. but i just took off all my spacers because i've been having problems with them. I've been getting this clicking noise originally from the front driver side when I'm braking or slowly accelerating. Recently, three of the four have been giving the clicking noise.

finally fixed the gap between my grille and bumper heh.

all these photos are taken from my phone.

And look what I spotted this past weekend...2012 Acura TSX SE in Milano Red. Some old dude was driving it with the window sticker still on the window. I gotta admit. I love that red.

As for mods, I'm probably going on a modding hiatus since I'll be starting my 1 year accelerated nursing program at University of Miami in January. A lot of cash have been getting things for my apartment and stuff. If I do have some money left over for the coming year. I really want to get the Megan Racing EZ coils and the HeelToe grille. And new spacers

I love CBP! Do you do anything to your headlights to keep them so clear, mine are starting to get a little foggy on the corners where there is that step on the headlight.

Go to either wal mart or advance auto parts and look for this shiny metallic bag. It will look like it won't work but I've used it and for $20 it works better than the meguiars crap headlight stuff.
