Just purchased my first car! 2011 TSX
Hi guys, I just bought a previously owned 2011 TSX, 6 speed manual transmission, 2.4L 4 cylinder with 20k miles on it. I must say that I love my purchase. I was initially going to buy a scion fr-s but while shopping around I happened to come across this white manual transmission Acura TSX. I feel like it was an awesome find and I look forward to participating and joining in with the community! One downside of my purchase was this huge and noticeable dent in one of the silver linings on the bottom of the rear driver's side window. I'll be posting pictures asking how to replace and/or fix it. Another downside was that it came with no floormats and I had to do an oil change no longer than a week within owning it. Also, for fellow manual transmission drivers, does anyone else feel a kind of grinding in the second gear whenever going first to second. And when you're driving in fourth, and you kind of press down on the shift knob, is it supposed to make this subtle grinding noise? Thanks again guys

Nice find.
Floor mats... some vendor is having a 30% off sale or something? Look around.
For second, if you are taking it up to red line, and shifting, and letting the clutch out before the lever being all the way into place, this can occur. I have the CT short throw adapter, it helps quite a bit. Could stand to be shorter throw even more though...
And pressing down the the shifter... no you shouldn't feel anything. The shifter is in a box, made of this type of plastics. It is connected via some strong metal cables to the transmission in the front. However, I would ask why you are pressing down on the shifter?? And don't do that.

Congrats! I have a white 2011 TSX 6MT too. It doesn't shift as smoothly as my old 2005 TSX but the feel is better that most cars out there. Although I haven't tried it, I read AC Delco or something like that makes a transmission fluid that helps to smooth the shifts -- anyone have experience with it?

Highschool car
Just first car I've actually bought myself, I've been using my sister's hand me down for the past 5 years. It was a 2005 em2 that by the time it was my turn to drive it, she had nearly totaled it twice. So it was really a car I used to commute from home to school. And not too long ago college and work. But still not the car that I would call my own. I've been saving for a bit, and finally went to a dealership, test drove it, and fell in love.
