I'm finally replacing my 2g tsx with a.....
After unsuccessful attempts to buy a 335d and without any viable 335d in my marketplace, I've officially purchased a Lexus is-f to replace my 2g tsx. In someways it all worked out, b/c i've had enough time to realize that the poor reliability of bmw might be more trouble than it's worth. and i won't enjoy the car if i have to visit the dealer too much. the cars are different class cars so it's not fair to compare them. the have vastly different prices and appeal to different market segments.
I'll probably hold onto the tsx for a few months until I'm 100 percent sure the is-f suits my needs over the tsx, at which time I will probably sell the tsx. I have an option to sell the car with minimal loss within the first 5 months.
I'll write a mini comparison later on when I've driven them some more, but like I said it's not really a fair comparison. However, I'm sure the tsx will still beat the is-f in some areas I know I'll miss the 6mt in the tsx but I have the s2000 tranny to keep me happy when i need it and the 128i as a backup in the winter months (honda shifter > than bmw shifter in my opinion)

Nice! I actually like that over the 335D anyways. And Lexus is reliable so you don't have to worry about that. If the IS-F doesn't support your "needs", just give up
Also, get us some real pictures and not these stocks! And what year did you get?

GT-R is a great car and I could probably trade the isf for a gt-r in the future, but it doesn't meet my family needs.
if you are single or a couple without kids....get the gt-r now! once the little ones are around, you're wife will have to stay home on family day if you have the gt-r...hahahaha

I'll always be part of the honda/acura family in one way or another. my best memories were when i drove a 1995 acura integra. the only problem with the acura integra at that time, was that it was difficult to have action in it with my girlfriend at that time, the back seat was not a bench. gotta keep it real!...hahaha

I saw a used GT-R for 65K a few months ago. Even though it's still such a ridiculous amount I wanted it so bad. Haha.
Hahaha. My thoughts exactly.

Wow good upgrade man. I drove IS-F once and it is a different league from our TSX. Ok, maybe a different sport haha.
BTW GT-R is crazy expensive to run, that is really a different league again.
Personally I had some problems with IS-F so I wouldn't do it, but it seems that IS-F price is dropping much more then M3 so comparing to it it is a bargain. At least in Europe. Loved the engine tho!

Congrats OP! Having too much money and toys are problems most of us wouldn't mind having. I agree with on the kids perspective. Get your toys and fun in while you still can for those without kids at the moment.
