ILX won't replace TSX will it?
Just curious, but why would it matter if it's discontinued. The product will still be supported. It may even have a potential for better resale down the road if the car retains a kind of enthusiast status or desirability.
I've purchased end of model lines in the past. And with a few that were no longer being sold, they became sought after. And often newer models can come watered down and with performance and eco nannies that take away from the driving experience. And cost cutting is becoming pretty common these days for manufacturers.

Just was curious because it seems all the dealers are giving good deals on the tsx. Under 31k for the tech I believe is a good deal and was wondering if they were trying to clear stock because of discontinuation.
So they are not right?
Also can you tiny a financed car? I am buying this to commute 100 miles each day. Does anyone do a commute close to this range and if you do, do you find it comfortable. The other car which I think will be comfortable will be the Camry but don't want to buy that as it looks like old mans car.

im new to this market BUT looking at the ILX and at the Acura corp website if there is a 2013 TSX it will be the last. get rid of the parts laying around etc.
IMO 2012 is the end/
I dont see a negative to this just reality/

The TSX will be gone very soon, if not 2013, then it's 2014.
Currently, in their lineup, ILX, TLX, RLX for sedan. I guess they keep RDX and MDX for their SUV and NSX for sport.
I have absolutely no problem with the TSX discontinuity, it just makes my TSX stand-out and unique to the rest.

Should I then not make the purchase.. I am worried about the last comment made of the car loosing its value. This also kinda proves the theory why the dealers are quoting $30,400 tech package.. At 0.9% for 60 months.
Are these just speculations or any hard evidence to support that it will be discontinued n

The TSX has historically had very solid resale value. Because it's dead reliable. Because it's made it Japan. Aside from the next RL, this is the last of the Japan built Acura, and that will continue to carry some weight. Unfortunately, the high yen value is killing the TSX by making its price point too high, and the similarity in size between the TSX, TL, and RL currently just don't make sense. So the ILX (Civic), TSX/TL combined model TLX? (Accord), and RLX (Accord XL) gives more distinct separation. One reason I bought a TSX wagon is BECAUSE it will be discontinued. Especially for a wagon, a 3 year run with a low production each year makes for a rare creature later on once you can't buy them new, and I love unicorns. What are the Pontiac G8 values looking like? Saab 9-2x values? They're solid. A good car that meets its unfortunate demise will have an appreciative following in the used car market. It still depreciates, but you won't be taking a bath like the stereotypical domestic car depreciation by any means.
0.9% is standard as long as you're a well qualified customer. difference is the length of time they give you that rate for. normally it's 36 months...when they have "specials" it's extended to 60 months like mine. usually end of the month type of deal.
0.9% 24-36mo, 1.9% 48-60mo. This is the same since fall, though every region is different. My zip code shows no low interest offer on TSX, but has lease specials. Credit Unions here are offering 1.99% up to 72mo anyway. Free money these days. Enjoy it while it lasts.
ILX is the new entry level Acura.
TSX (likely to be discontinued)
TL (will be revamped to a new TLX, rumor)
RLX
RDX
MDX
NSX
not gonna mention the zdx...it does not exist...

I knew they offered 0.9% for 36months but had no idea they offered it up to 60mos.
i got .9 for 60 months back in feb in Colorado
it could be in ONLY certain markets etc based on sales.
i also asked finance guy what credit score it takes to get a 0.9 and he said a 700 or higher but only hearsay on that/
anyone looked CLOSE at the ILX> i hear they are in the Stealers/
The TL/TLX is going to have to change soon since the Accord platform changes later this year with the new US Accord with ED engines and new transmissions. That platform is smaller than the current Accord. So that will drive a change to the TL. Maybe they can run both platforms in production at the same time but it doesn't seem cost efficient. But I think past TL's lagged Accords by a model year, so it must happen someway.
