2012 tsx wagon
All stock

When I start it I hear a "bzzzzz" by the key area
It does it if I start it slowly

Battery is new in 2014 from dealer

No issues starting and no issues with car


A friend said his 2012 civic sedan does the same thing



Anyone else have it?

I don't know if it needs new ignition switch or a relay or starter is dying ?

My car is under full warranty and dealer is amazing
However usually they are bad at trouble shooting

Once I tell them what to change (thanks to this forum), they replace it

Per my research lots of TL have this problem

 

2010 TSX does it to me sometimes too, my 05 Civic did it as well. Only when I don't turn as fast as normal. almost like a shorting out/buzzing sound.

If you are describing the hum or buzz that activates when your key in position 2 ( just prior to turning over ) I believe this is normal.
My TL did it and my TSX does also. It stops after a couple seconds. I always wait and then turn the car over....might be the fuel pump setting up ? Not a mechanic, so not sure......

I always turn to key position 2 (unless i am in hurry) and it always makes this noise... so I assumed it was normal...

I wish TSX has push button...
