My 1-month old TSX wagon has the indicator light on "Tighten Fuel Tank." I tightened it on Saturday. (I live in NJ where people don't pump their own fuel.) The light went off temporarily and then came back on. Does anyone know how many days this light will be on for? Is there a way to dismantle this indicator light? I traded in my VW for Japanese reliability. I hope it wasn't a mistake.

did you remove the gas cap and put it back on all by YOURSELF? 4 clicks at least, do you understand what i mean?

 

I have turned it the maximum number of turns (clicks), if that's what you mean. It cannot be turned any tighter. However, the light is still on. But not continuously.

 

take it to the dealer.

It will turn off by itself after a few days, if you have already tightened it.

Thanks for the link wraith. I was sure I was not the only person this happened to. If it's still on in a few days, I'll ask the dealer to reset the indicator.
