Well, my latest rattle is coming from drivers headrest. Lean against it, no rattle. Head forward, rattle more often than not.

Thought at first it was coming from the steering column. Too much classic rock music and jamming with loud amps back in the day would have seemed to make pinpointing these rattles more difficult.

But this one is absolutely in headrest. May try switching w passenger one first before service

 

Are you sure its the headrest? on mine there is a rattle from the handle thing above the window. Maybe you are hearing that.

 

Nope. Its the headrest for sure. But its nice to look forward to that one as well

 

The handle has a very easy fix as it is plastic fexing against plastic.

If you look at the handle, you'll see two areas where it looks like little rubber bumpers are missing. I cut a kitchen cabinet door bumper in half and fit it into each opening - no more rattle.

Where does the headrest rattle - in the unit itself on in the seat? Does the headrest lock tightly in place?

 

I have it in the lowest possible place and i think its NOT technically locked there. But ive moved it to the first locked position to compare and it rattles there too. Talk about a rattle close to the ears.
It seems a new rattle and i wonder if tread wear has anything to do with it as im at about 34k. In any case, looks like next week to bring it in and hope i dont get the Can Not Duplicate evaluation. Hate that.

 

Could you elaborate on this? I have so many minor rattles on the highway in my TSX (more than any of my previous 7 cars) and am not seeing any easy solutions.

 

Take off the cover on the base of the handle and you will see the part that rattles.

For the most part i've eliminated all the rattles in the car - except from some rattle which seems like it comes from above... so it's probably the handles on my car too.

 

I just noticed a rattle in my passenger headrest today! I lowered it to the lowest point and it stopped. I have also noticed an intermittent rattle from the eyeglass holder also. I only notice it between songs! LOL
