Future SH-AWD?

Future SH-AWD?
Here are some pics that I took the first day we got the car on the left. The rear end is very interested. There is a part that has a big curve to it. Possibly for a future axle? Honda doesn't do things "just because." This was designed into the car for a reason.

It makes sense....
....but we've already been disappointed.
My only room for hope is maybe they made the beginning of the second gen like crap so when they (hopefully) introduce a type S or other submodel, it will look great in comparison. Turbo and SHAWD would be amazing.

It even has an extra exhaust hanger point on the rear subframe. Wonder why.......
