Hey all..so I've been snoopin around Azine since I bought my polished metal metallic 09 TSX a year ago. I've only invested in tinting windows (35%), lightly tinted tail lights (which probably no one could even see), 6K HID fogs, magna flow exhaust tips and 18'' aspec wheels (DWS Conti tires). No suspension drop for me

BUT, recently got into an accident that ONLY hurt the front bumper and grill. I'm pretty sure insurance will cover costs for both but before I go to body shop, I just wanna get some basic figures on how much a SPORT front bumper would cost. I just don't wanna get ripped off since this is my first accident. What would be cheaper..getting it from a dealer painted?,from a body shop unpainted?, etc.

I'd love to post pics but not with how she's looking now but I will def. after a sport bumper if its in the right price range.

A oem sports bumper comes painted and run around $580 + shipping new

 

Gotcha and how bout a regular front bumper?

 

When I bought my rear aero bumper after I got in a fender bender, total it came out to around $650. Shipping was around $170 of that. I got mine from http://www.acuraoemparts.com/delray/jsp/home.jsp. Great customer service.

Damn I gotta think about $650 but that bumper for $445 looks amazing..but damn, the seller is giving so many warnings about ensuring that what is in the picture is what you get.

Chill with the rear bumper! I can't throw in that much money..but I think they look perfect in the pics. I just gotta wait for a quote from insurance to see what's gonna be paid for and I'll jump on it. Hopefully it'll still be up..thanks a lot bros

PMM is a discontinued color (I think) and maybe that's why he's selling them for so cheap. But he does state in his description that they are NEW.

 

Id pay a little extra and get a new one but that's just me.

talk to Matt from parts/internet department, they usually have great deals listed on ebay cheaper than other acura parts sites. If you call directly and order on the phone, it is cheaper since no ebay/paypal fees for them.

I recently got the front + rear sports bumper for 1075$ Shipped. It arrived in 5 business days. These huge boxes are not cheap to ship, so I don't know how they can absorb those costs.

It says it's new but the entire ad is written in some horrible script you can't read. Written in broken English and the seller isn't sure of much of anything.
He also mentions quite a few times that it's sold as is.

There are pics of it outside the box but it does show a Honda box.

Idk. Something just strikes me as odd about this listing.
I'd feel better making a purchase that big off a authorized seller.

 

I'm pretty fishy about it too since I'm sure these bumpers come with a load of tabs and screws but I only see a little baggy.

Also, is anyone permanently rockin just the front bumper? It would look off to people like us, but I'm assuming normal people probably can't tell the difference.

Actually, I think you're supposed to use your own tabs and screws that are already on the car.

 

Ooh okay, I was thinking there was be a different number of tabs for the aero.

 

I recently ordered the Modulo kit from one of Acura dealers on eBay. Did the whole install myself and you definitely use some of your old screws, tabs, etc. from your old bumper. There are a few extra things that comes with it and you need to use them to make it secure. There's a site with the instruction manual on installing it. I don't remember which one but you can Google it and it'll find it for you. Hope everything works out for you.

BTW if you want the dealer to install it you will pay for 1.5 hours of shop time and $16.50 for some clips... I just got mine done this week and love it! give the front end a much more agressive look.

Anyone have a side-by-side of a normal and a sport bumper? I can't see a difference.

 

They were the first on my list to call for quotes/shipping charges before I found out about Demecula acura. They do have a good price however I was quoted 120-140$ to ship each the front and rear sport bumpers.

 

I don't want to screw the license plate holder into the bumper..what do you guys have?
