Hey guys I wanted to formally introduce myself and my TSX! So without further ado,
My name is Jon. I'm 25, I am married to a beautiful woman named Alex who is currently overseas playing professional soccer with a European team and she will be back in April!
I just purchased a 2012 VBP TSX with the tech package. I traded in my last vehicle which was a 2006 RSX. Fun times with that car! But it was at 140k miles, the AC didn't work, I had no airbags cuz I swapped out seats. There were suspension problems, and yea. Needless to say it was time to upgrade!
So I plan on doing a few things to her to fix her up a bit. Nothing really too much cuz well u know, dat married life tho! I can't just buy things lol, I gotta convince my better half as to why wheels and a drop are a justified purchase lol :P
Progress will slowly come, well here she is. iPhone pics will have to do for now as I didn't feel like getting out my Canon.
First, the old. I'm surprise my wife was ok with all the money I spent on this one lol.
And now the new!
So yea, that's it! I hope to learn a lot from all you guys here, I've been lurking around the forum for a few days and everyone seems to be pretty respectful so yea, glad to be here!!
Car looks clean! Congrats on the purchase! I couldn't even tell it was VBP until the last pic to be honest. Looked like CBP. Great nonetheless.
Hope you enjoy her. Was your RSX stick? If so, how you liking the transition to auto? I'm assuming it's auto because it's a tech, and 2011 is the last year I'm aware of that offered a 6MT tech.

Thanks, and yes my RSX was stick. The transition isn't too bad, every now and then I get my urges and wish that it was a stick but the paddle shifters are pretty fun. What I do like is that when using sport mode the car will still let you push it to the redline. My wife's tC has a sport mode and it's useless to be honest, I've tried it and it will not let you go any further than like 6500 RPM's once you get close to 7 it will just change gears for you. There is absolutely no control in here whereas in the acura there is more control over what you want.
And I accidentally found this out when I was in sport mode and was about to switch lanes so I turned my head over and the car started yelling at me that i was pushing it too hard lol oops.

I'm failing to see why you don't have wheels and a drop *right now* because, you know, the car came with them... Right?...
Lmao!! Man I wish, she was practically there for the purchase, pictures and all were sent to her while I was purchasing. She definitely knows a change when she sees one. No worries, I will convince her, it will just take longer than usual. You know, birthdays, anniversaries, even Valentine's Day!

Gotcha! You are in a predicament.
Buuuuut... Coilovers can be set so the car looks the same height as in the original pictures but over time it might get lower and lower.
And doesn't it suck that your wheels got stolen in a couple days? And that you needed to get new ones, but it wasn't worth going through insurance because of the deductible and stuff?
Bro, that's so simple: you need your own checking account or credit card or something.
I mean, when you buy her flowers or a new purse or butterfly-knife (or whatever she's into), you don't want the surprise to be ruined because she checked the balance, right?
Bam! that's what you use to buy your parts as well!
Congrats on your purchase! Glad you joined. I also have a 2012 VBP.. And man do I wish it was stick Are you planning on doing anything to it? Mod wise? I told my self I was gonna keep mine stock but that did not last very long!
That's tight, I've played soccer my entire life. Can't beat the European league (I assume it's as competitive as the mens EPL)
I love my fiance to death.. but her inclination to anything sports related is absolutely disastrous. She once fell off her beach cruiser bicycle during a routine water bottle transfer smh hahaha. Broke her pink basket, bell and everything. But.. ya know.. it was my fault lol
Nice ride and welcome to the fam! I totally get what u mean with that married life lmao! As other suggest, have your on checking account and save up to do small mods without her noticing. Lol little by little
