Engine Cover

Stock engine cover is a piece of silver plastic with nothing on it. I like the Euro/JDM Accord on with 2.4L DOHC iVTEC in black which IMO complement the black valve cover.

Since the USDM Accord and the 2012 Civic Si use the same K24Z3 engine with the same black cover, I went ahead with the mod.

Parts need:
1- 17121-R42-A00 Engine cover- List $19
2- 17122-R41-L50 Stay List- $7 (need 2 of these)

So total cost is less than $40.

Good to know it fits, now I won't have to worry about the CF version fitting my accord lol.
Looks good.

^Thanks. I think Acura wants to distinguish itself from the Honda line but the silver cover seems a bit out of place.

Luckily the same cover can be found in North American 4 cylinder Accord and Civic Si as the European ones from Lings Honda in the UK cost $120 plus s/h.

looks good tech! and cheap too

i've thought of painting the engine cover + spark plugs cover matte black. although our spark plug cover is already kind of matte black, its not painted and the material is more of a rough plastic. i assume that the new engine cover is of the same material? thanks

Nice job tech. Are you going to go for the full-JDM conversion? Looks like you're over halfway there.

^ Thanks.

Actually, I like to keep it as an Acura TSX. The problem lies in Honda Canada and Honda USA refusal/ reluctance in bringing all the various accessories available in other markets such as Asia and Europe. Your Type S kit is a prime example.

Yeah I hear you man. Whole cars like the Civic Type R I can understand but it probably isn't too hard at all to have accessories available in all markets. Just makes it hard for JDM/EDM-lovers to get their fix!

Funny you should mention Civic Type R.

The Rage rims (which is the accessory rims made by Speedline exclusively for the Type R) I got from Lings Honda in the UK 2 years ago still draw complements from fellow motorists, even cyclist on the road.
