I'll probably end up doing it over, little bit of chrome showing through here and there. Any tips on removing the grill, it would be a lot easier. As far as application, just peel and stick. Its easy enough to trim with a sharp fingernail. 3M diNoc used by the way.

Did you remove the grille to get this carbon fiber film on ?

Speed2000, where did you get the film, and was there a lot of cutting and piecing together involved?

It's pretty easy, just pretend its blue painters tape. A heat gun will help the film stretch a bit but don't get it too hot or it will instantly stretch a bunch. Also pay attention to which way the pattern is going, you don't want it want sideways. Make sure the surface to be covered is hospital clean.

These folks also design pre-cut paint protection kits. If we can get enough interest, I bet we could get them to design a pattern and they could offer the carbon film already cut to fit the grill

Icediamond, I ordered the ct-engineering grille part and expecting delivery any day now. Not sure whether to use Di-Noc or xpel. It may not make much difference but based on Speed2000's results I'm leaning toward xpel.

how large of a sheet did you get from xpel to properly fit the whole grille?

The grill is about 35 inches by 12. I'd order about twice that amount in case the first one doesn't go well.

I received the blade and I'm kind of disappointed. I thought it would be a darker shade of black than it is. I'm going to install it anyways and see how it looks before applying the film.

Looking good man, I've done this on my RL and it didn't turn out well. I'm going to redo mine, it looks so horrible right now hehe. You should wrap the roof in carbon fiber to match your grill.

oh.. good to know! now I'm curious to see your end result after installing.. and your are right, last thing you want is to have ur CF film and this new blade to be different shades of black.. haha
