I have a 2010 Acura TSX. I've noticed in the past month it has been frequently stalling when I'm trying to start the car. Sometimes, I hear a grinding/scraping noise as the car is trying to start. Before this, it was only happening every now and then. It doesn't happen when I take it to my mechanic. He did mention that it could be the starter.

Has this happened to any of you? Does anyone know what this could be?

 

the grinding noise might be a bad vtc actuator.. there is a TSB for it.
