Car got hit in parking garage ... ugh
Was parked in a garage while at dinner with my wife. Came out to see the front right corner smashed in. Lady who hit me left all her info.
Its a 2008 TSX Tech and only has 4000 miles. I felt sick.
Its been a week or 2 and the insurance company still doesn't have it fixed. Got a call just now that they were all done and found some dust in the paint. So now they have to paint it again.
I was hoping bumpers came pre-painted but now I get stuck with a body shop paint job on my bumper. Now I have to be extra careful when rubbing off bugs and grime. I swear it will never be the same.
Am I too pessimistic, or have you had positive experiences with getting bumpers painted?

Do you mean 2009?
Sorry about the accident. At least the person who hit you left their info.
Bumpers don't come pre-painted. A quality body shop can do a very good job. A shitty one, not so much.

WTH happened to my garage
There was *one* person left on the planet that leaves a note and you found her.
Offer to pay your insurance company the difference for the sport bumper, or, maybe someone here kept their stock cover when upgrading to the sport bumper & will sell it to you.
Like Luv said, a lame shop, or one who doesn't do a good job of cleaning the mold release agent off of the replacement bumper, or cheap primer, or no flex agent in the new paint will be a crappy job.
None of us should ever look at our cars in fluorescent lighting, as it will show every variation in our paint. (1/4 panel vs bumper cover, etc)
