Yesterday my wife slid into a snow bank at low speed with her bellanova white 2012 TSX sedan and this resulted in a little tear in the bottom corner of the front bumper cover. My question is can I buy a factory front bumper cover painted from acura so that I don't have to deal with body shops and insurance? If so where could I get one?
Under that cover is some foam that if it's cracked needs to be replaced as well. Otherwise the purpose of that bumper (safety) is now compromised.
This. Since it seems like you're hoping to get it done the simplest (but likely most expensive) way, i.e., parts through the dealership, you might as well get them to take a look under the bumper cover for any additional damages (foam, collision bar, etc.)
Like opboarding said, the OEM Base/TECH (same cover) and the OEM aero/modulo/sport bumper covers all come painted. The Special Edition (A-Spec in Canada) bumper covers do not come painted.
Do you have a part number for a painted 2012 bellanova white TSX base sedan front cover because I called them and they said they only have unpainted ones... As far as the damage it is a tiny 3" tear located in the bottom corner none of the plastic under shielding or fender liners are broken or torn it just popped out 1 of the plastic push pins. I would rather fix it myself if I could
Hm actually.. the base/TECH front bumper cover might actually come unpainted. sorry for the wrong information. The P/N for the front bumper is generic, hence why it comes unpainted. 04711-TL2-A80ZZ. If it's a small tear, try repairing it instead. It will be hard to find a (mint) base, BWP front bumper cover. You could always get the unpainted one, but it's almost impossible to paint match the white, so your front will be a shade off from the rest of the car.
If the only option you'll entertain is to buy a new bumper cover, consider the prepainted OEM modulo/sport/aero bumper cover.
Woah, I never knew the oem front bumper didn't come painted. Why would the rear oem be painted and the front not? That doesn't make sense.
xtncrice, he has a 2012 facelift so the aero/sport front would just be the painted spats and not the whole bumper. It's looking like you'll need to paint it...

god damn not sure where my mind is at today. Front aero needs 09-10 grille, etc. so yep, your best bet is to repair your current front bumper cover
I was thinking of just getting the Special Edition front Lip kit that would cover up the affected area... who has the best prices for these kits
I got mine off ebay for $100, which was actually a listing from a dealership that had taken the kit off a showroom car. I haven't seen another listing on ebay that was this cheap since though
Try delray acura or curry acura. They have decent prices.
Ok so i have been pricing the front spoilers out and i see there is two ways to buy these things. I can buy them individually (SPOILER ASSY., R. FR. BUMPER *NH788P* (BELLANOVA WHITE PEARL)Part #: 71110-TL0-G90ZL and SPOILER ASSY., L. FR. BUMPER *NH788P* (BELLANOVA WHITE PEARL) Part #: 71180-TL0-G90ZL) each one running as low as I've seen $131.09 each or I can get this ACURA TSX FR. LIP *NH788P* SPOILER (BELLANOVA WHITE PEARL)Part# 08F01-TL2-2G0B for as low as $340... now obviously it's cheaper by almost 80 buck to buy the left and right side separately however I've been told by Delray Acura that when you do that it does not come with the mounting hardware. What is needed to mount these to the bumper and is it worth the 80 dollar difference?
It uses a slip on nut plate....you could buy those at hardware store. 3 per side.
But then it uses a special screw that would be tricky to find. Its like a screw but half of the length is not machined.
Go to Bernardi and find the kit.
They usually give you instructions;
Maybe it will have part number.
80 for 6 nuts and 6 bolts
And 4 screws and slip on nuts for the part that goes in the wheel well.

Did a quick search on Google for 08F01-TL2-2G0B. No images come up. What is this part exactly?
edit: nvm, I guess you're right. This part number is essentially both sides of the front under spoiler in NH788P.

Yeah I rather not skimp on the hardware... and they can't be that expensive anyway. Since you were willing to get a brand new painted front bumper to begin with, just to cover up a 3" scuff, I don't think it would be a huge deal to spend a tiny bit on the farking OEM hardware. It was nice of Rob to actually get you the P/Ns of the actual hardware (and quantities needed). Take his advice.
I Think i will just order the spoilers individually and go to the hardware store for any of the clip nuts and bolts that I need.

Heck, I'll even tell you how much it costs from DelRay:
Update. ... it's been a couple of weeks and after I took the car to the car wash a large chip of paint came off of the bumper located above where the lip kit would cover so now the only solution is to repair or replace.... Does anyone know of a good body shop in the Central Massachusetts area around worcester. This is definitely something that will be getting fixed this spring after winter is over. Attached is a picture of the damage
