I know this might be a silly question but I would rather ask. I usually keep my GPS plugged into my cig ligher all the time. Even though the car is off, is there any drain on the battery? Just dont want to have a dead battery at some point.

 

once your key is out of the ignition, their is no current draw. You are good.
