u cant really replace the bulb cuz its...connected to the wire. (dont konw if thats the right way to describe it) but what you can do is 1, drill a hole where the light is placed at the panel (there is a piece of plastic blockign the light) then it'll be brighter. but thats not even good enoguh for me, so i added a stripe of blue leds thats not too bright, but brighter than the oem. search around, i believe some forum members drilled the hole at the panel.

and to access the bulb, look where the bulb is located and u see the panel, jsut kinda push in and pull out...dont know how to describe it. but check the user manual i think its there..if not hope other members can chime in!

I did what ed did and very very happy with the results. Just look under your footwell and u should see where the light comes from and just pop that piece out from behind...then just drill a hole through the plastic and put it back. Its more than bright enough for me like that.

when yous say piece from behind do you mean that i can push out the light holder from behind, or do i have to remove a panel to get to the light?

actually, the oem bulb is still there, but what he did was tap the wires into the existing oem bulb, so when the oem is on, my stripe will be on

Try it, I really want to do this too.
I have no idea how, I'm to nervous to remove the footwell panel.

^ whoa i didnt know what t-tap was untill u mentioned it! looks pretty cool man, let me know how it works. what my friend did was just splice the wire into the existing oem one, but the t-tap looks much more simple!

and dont worry, the leds stripe sholdnt draw much power at all

I'm thinking bout it! Gonna see how bright the footwell lamp is first though.

Can you take a picture of your setup? I wanna get a general idea of what I'm doing before I go cutting wires in my car...LOL.

https://acurazine.com/forums/showthr...ghlight=ed%27s

it looks a bit brighter in picture than in person, in person its brighter than oem because it spreads the light across , but its def not so bright that its distracting. its a really nice touch, i'll see if i can get some better pics later when i update the thread (got a few mod planned, just needa install)

and i dont have a pic of this, but pretty much its just a stripe of leds, and used double sided tape to tape it up on the panel

I just got the i_jdm led strips in the mail, waiting on the t-taps : )

and yes my friend, schoolwork kills time. First day of the semester today was pretty much spent sleeping in all of my classes, even my night class for some reason ~_~

once i get the taps ill make some free time. speaking of which we should make a thread in off-topic where everyone could talk about what they are studying, if that doesnt exist yet. could be interesting!
