For all those calling for Collivers head....
Honda sales were actually up for May! Big 2.5 were down, Toyota was down, and HMC was up 11%

Honda is in a great position. The Civic and Fit are obviously perfect for what the market is now demanding and with new Hybrids coming out the only place to go is up. But there's still some work to do IMO on the efficiency of the Ody and Pilot and Acura IMO still needs work but things are looking up! Read last week that Honda is set to overtake Ford in NA sales.

Is the Stream coming? I thought Jeff was reporting an all new vehicle based on the Accord called the Latitude?
The Ody's problem is weight. It has to lose a few hundred pounds and maybe gain a gear. That alone should give it much better mileage.
And I wonder if the 09 CR-V will gain one of the Accord's new 2.4L engines. I'd imagine all variations of the 2.4 are made in the same factory and continuing with the 166HP version would seem prohibitive.

From TOV
But getting this back within the realm of being TSX related. I still think they need a V6 version. If they can manage decent economy out of a V6 Accord I'm sure they can do just as well with a V6 TSX.
UPDATE: We've received word from a source that a new crossover is a go and it will be using the name 'Latitude'. Consistent with past rumors, it's also supposedly based upon the Accord architecture - so it's sounding less probable that it will simply be a re-badged Stream. It also sounds like that this may be one of the 2 "surprises". We're also thinking this will be positioned directly against the new Toyota Venza.

I agree on the V-6 though I wouldn't buy one. Somehow I doubt it will get the 3.5, too close to the (expected) engine for the new TL. The new RL is getting the first ever application of exhaust valve vtec in a sohc V-6. Maybe they could fit a similar system to the outgoing 3.2 in the TL and drop that into the TSX? Tune it for HP and not torque and keep it FWD to save weight?

Yup. I'm guessing we'll see a all new V6 (DOHC maybe?) at some point. Next fall would be nice.

Time to Climb
honda is doing it right, but where does that leave acura. i understand they've got some sort of "5 year" plan/vision, but don't design studies show that the new look of acura is appalling? they've got to become more of a player in the hp game as well. the general public (including i) would now favor mileage over speed, but at least give us some sort of competitive option
