About to go buy my first TSX

Hey everyone. So I'm not "officially" an owner yet, but I will be buying my 2012 TSX Special Edition within the next few days. I've chosen this car over many other cars that I've been looking into and test driving. I've also been reading up on these threads and it seems like many of you are great to associate myself with.

I can't wait for this car!! I'm so stoked! Do any of you have any words of wisdom before I buy my car?

Thanks!

Hmmmmm. Maybe I'll replace the factory interior bulbs with LEDs. But I'm not sure how it would look since the Special Edition has the red interior accent lights and the red guages. I guess I'll see.

Performance wise, for now, I'm gonna let the naturally aspirated engine breathe a bit maybe for a month or two. Once I feel it's a little more broken in, I'll buy a Cold Air Intake and probably get some suspension mods for tighter turning (I love the bucket seats, so lets put them to use!).

Any recommendations on which parts have worked best for you guys?

enjoy it-if you have a car loan-pay that off first-then mod away. Many things can be done-tints, etc. It is what you can afford. My tsx is stock-love it that way-I love driving it.
What color and is going to be MT or AT-I prefer MT vehicles.

White and automatic. I live in Miami so driving a manual in a city where there is traffic 24/7 is not a very nice thing

learned to drive MT in NYC-so I know about traffic-Now live in NC so the traffic is less. I do drive from NC to NJ and back often so I get traffic jams along the way.

Yeah, I've been considering the V6 but it's an extra 5 grand and it doesn't come in the special edition. I love the seats and the fact it comes with the sport body kit.

the MT on this car rocks. I live in DC....lots of traffic should not prevent you from getting a MT if you want it. Doesn't bother me one bit. I beg you to consider it, I've driven the automatic version of this car and it feels empty compared to the MT.

get the SE and not the V6. Its not worth the extra $$ for that engine and the SE has nice little touches throughout. I would have gotten the SE but I couldnt pass up my low mileage 09 in excellent condition for far less than new.

If you came from a 4-cylinder engine vehicle, this TSX I4 AT should be good but if you came from a V6, this I4 AT would be a disappointed in both acceleration, performance and fuel efficiency.

Update: when I said "fuel efficiency" I meant:
a. If you want to have 27MPG you must either have a long-distance trip or grandma-driving-style.
b. If you drive aggressively such jack-rabbit, down-shifting, ......, expect getting 21, 22MPG, which is about the same as V6.
c. If you're in the stop-and-go traffic such NY, Boston, ... most of the time, do expect around 17, 18MPG.

if he came from a V6, the fuel efficiency on the I4 would be disappointing? please tell me you mistyped that or something lmfao. honestly, i've driven plenty of V6's and even V8's. i drive my boys Charger R/T with a V8 hemi, it has alot more power, but he never uses it because his mileage blows. he drives like a grandma. i know because i get pissed off waiting anytime we both drive some place. i VTEC everywhere and i still get good MPG. performance is decent, the 6MT has better performance. obv accel isn't that good, but you can't say that the TSX doesn't get going when it needs to

What I meant was .... to match with V6 performance, the I4 will consume a lot of fuel.
Naturally, a V6 will yield about 21, 22MPG.
Naturally, an I4 TSX AT yields about 26, 27, but if you crank it up, it "eats up gas" and to the end, it's still at 21, 22MPG.

Woooooooot! I bought my pearl white 2012 tsx special edition yesterday Going back to the dealer to get the deck lid installed tonight.

Can't wait to start working on it!! I ended up with the automatic but hey it won't really matter to me .

Thanks to everyone that has replied.

Special thanks to Claude as we're both from the same area and are going to form our own little TSX meet lol since almost nobody is from South Florida.
