2G TSX Chat, Chit, and General Info Thread
It alllllll started at lunch this Monday. We got this one guy who blows up everyone's IG because he makes 15 singular posts a day about 1 trip he took a month ago. We were all complaining he needed to stop, but he said he gained sooooo many followers (300). So I told him, I bet I could make an IG for my dog and gain more followers than him in less than a week. So the challenge began! #TheRealKodaBear has 167 followers in 3 days.
Your's actually concave a bit.... which is what I want but meh, I got a good deal on these lol
You'll need to come to the dealership for me to sneak it in. Need that dealership wifi for it to work
And if anyone wants to watch my boring 40 min long vlog, feel free to do so here

And you should have just poured your Sprite in the Clutch Master. The liquid will settle down to the low points and the bubbles would come out the top. It basically bleeds itself!
(or siphon off some fluid from the brake master and put it in the clutch to get you down the road)
NT03's are
18x9.5 +40
18x8.5 +38
Not too far off, but those wheels can't fit BBK for shit. I was running a 5mm spacer up front so it's pretty much +35 just to barely clear
I may just see about stopping by next time I'm out that way.

I like your salad tossing video btw. One of my all time faves!
ok.... so I have ridge ventilation as I have come to realize, and my amateur investigative skills point to ridge vented attics not needing attic fans (supposedly they are really good at venting hot air). I confirmed I do have continuous soffits around the entire outside of my house so there should be sufficient flow. I just got up there with a laser thermometer and today it was 84F and sunny.. I measured 147F under the roof. That seems waaaay high. I don't understand what's happening. I have about 10in R30 insulation running along the entire floor of the attic. It was measuring about 110F and the the gable was measuring around 135F. I have no trees or debris that could build up over the ridge vent, nor really anything that could block the soffits around the outside...
What gives??

Ridge vents may be good and all but without airflow. That heat ain't going anywhere.
Also... if I want a fan now I have to cut a hole in the side of the gable because I only have a ridge vent. Or just put a box fan in the middle of the attic facing up. But that sounds kinda stupid. sighhhhh
You dont have gable vents? I have a ridge vent plus two gable vents in my attic. My attic is also really hot but I dont have an exact number for you. Ill try to find my meat thermometer and find out my temp.
I'll see if I can throw a termocouple up in the attic this afternoon as well for another data point. But FWIW, those numbers don't seem too bad. Like thoi said, all the insulation in your attic keeps the attic hot but your house cool. I mean, you're likely not *making* heat up there (within reason, considering if you have your HVAC and/or water heater up there), so whatever you're seeing is what it is. You can probably knock it down a little bit with additional insulation, but there's a threshold where it's just friggin hot.
