NOT A CHANCE! lol
It's actually a 2004 Chevy Classic which is the 97-03 Malibu. The internet says it makes 144HP with it's 2.2L Ecotec 4 banger. It seems way lower with how long I wait to get up to 70 on the freeway while mashing the pedal. Passing people is so much easier in the TSX.

I think you'd enjoy the wagon very much...passing people is very fun.
What I love is waiting for people on the highway that are cruisin in the left lane coming up at 100+ and then when they hit my rear bumper I punch it and take off and watch their face like "wtf...is that a station wagon?"
I'm such a snob...
I also get 12 mpg consistently.
I'm a bad and sad person.

the water pump likes to go out! be careful that you dont over heat the car!!
My coworker had a Malibu like that one. He said for the past X number of years, he's had to replace the rear calipers each year because they seize lol. Apparently a defect Chevy never fixed? I'm guessing this is #BecauseCanada and the road salt getting through the terribly designed seals/grommets. I was happy to hear he replaced them himself each time... but what a shitty maintenance item to do after every winter lol. Couple of months ago he finally dumped the Malibu and got the new Ford Escape haha.

I changed the oil a few days ago on it. The filter isn't bad on this engine. It's actually part of the engine body and accessed in the engine bay. It is however leaking oil pretty badly. I only drained 2.5 quarts out of the 5. Oil was changed about 3 months ago/2800 miles. So that's something fun I'm going to have to deal with.

yeah, i'm assuming the "newer" 4 cylinder is packaged smaller than the one i had.
and yikes! hope you dont run it dry!

a co-worker with a '15 mustang bought a daily driver... IS300.Cool car! but, like...the mustang can do everything the little lexus can do...i am unsure why he spent 3k on something his $35k car can do...
he told me "because, warranty is coming up soon on the mustang.."

butt butt, if warranty ends...and something goes out...you'll need to spend money to get it fixed...no way around it...could have used the $3k for emergency..

also, $3k was just for the car...to get it road worthy...he might have dumped MORE into the little IS300, plus tax and title.

and now his parking spot doesnt look cool any more...no more blue 5.0 at work....which makes me sad

Sounds like a feature to me. You now never need to actually *change* the oil that way, just keep adding more. Think about it, if you add oil at the same rate it leaks out, it's like a constant oil *exchange*.

I used to have a 94 Corsica with the 3.1L V6. Not much power there either. Basically the same as the V6 in that generation Malibu (which was the replacement for the Corsica in 97). I just looked it up and the 4 cyl 97-04 Malibu was 150 hp and the V6 was only 155. They did bump the V6 to 170 in 2000. haha.

I have stoptech drilled rotors with centric pads and never had a problem. I put them through a few autox runs and they still feel new.

Got them from Amazon.

Lol with the Cavs currently imploding since Lue has no clue what he's doing, I hope we atleast take y'all to 7 but it's really going to depend on the bench. Not too worried about the Raps/Wiz/Celtics in the East tho even tho all are playing great so far. Hopefully y'all will be tired after playing Clippers/Jazz then Rockets/Spurs.

Thanks

Already looks like they gave up on the 1 seed. And having LB play most of regulation, i don't think was a good choice by lue. Who i think you should replace with someone more competent. a la Lavar Ball

There was a TLX reveal?

Does it have a new, huge, but beakless grille? And a "that kind of thrill" performance-esque body cladding?

It's the gloss black decklid spoiler that shows Acura has been paying attention and knows how to make their vehicles separate and distinct from Honda.

Honda wouldn't add a black spoiler. That's Luxury. With a capital "L".

Meh. Looks like just lipstick on a pig to me.

Still don't see why one would buy this over an Accord.

Well, historically A-spec is well, just what it says it is, an Appearance spec. Obviously I advocate for Acura, but I think the refresh is classy. It's also the first vehicle that I worked on.
I do love the Accord though haha. I think yall should go to the dealers and go look at them though, it definitely looks much different (and better) in person.

really? we've had the ASpec trim in Canada for a while now, and from what I recall, 3G TL ASpec for example comes with ASpec suspension which is a tad lower/firmer than non-ASpec stock.
