2G TSX Chat, Chit, and General Info Thread
Hey Guize!
The 2016 Charity Drive has been taken over at gunpoint by a bunch of hooligans. Since it's almost the end of December and nothing had happened yet, we grabbed the wheel and stole this bitch.
Anyone want to toss a couple bucks at some sick kids? No bullshit, no fucking games or prizes, no nonsense. You give money, I give some money, they get some care.
No acurazine stickers. Just a good feeling for helping others. Cry about that one to someone who cares.
Anyone got any balls?

There's no warning light. And yes, I just twist the combi switch to my "parking lights" for my DRL during the day. Since switch backs, they just illuminate white on the outside. Look at my Avatar for reference.
Happy Hanukkah, Merry Christmas, Happy Kwanzaa, Happy Holidays, Hail Satan!, or whatever your seasonal greetings of choice may be. Hope you all have a pleasant/happy/restful/uneventful/painful day; again, depending on you choice.
yeah I'm familiar with switch backs, I've had them on other cars. Cool then, I'm gonna pull my fuse also.
just floating this out there while still fresh on my mind.
went through a drive thru pharmacy and when i shifted from P to R, i heard like a clanking noise. this is after i ddrove like 15 min onthe freeway.
when i got home i shifted it again to see if the sound was still there. but it was not. any idea? would this be covered under the powertrain waraanty?

Mine makes a fairly loud click when it switches out of park into drive or reverse. Not that noticeable most of the time but in my parking garage leaving work I can hear it pretty well. Maybe being in the drive through with a wall next to you and your window down (I'm assuming) the sound was more audible?
ehhh, reverse is kinda an oddball gear. I wouldn't worry about the noises. You should hear how the manual sounds when you go to reverse, sounds like a rod is snapping each time haha.
next time i go in i'll at least ask them to check it out. powertrain is 60k/7years? currently at 51k. to me that shouldn't be the normal sound. also my lifted TsX is getting a lot of looks now. only TSX in the SF bay area like it.
whoa, you're in the bay?! I'm from Alameda.
Would these work for daytime running lights? From the chart I saw Fogs and DRL are both H11 so I assume this would be fine.
In case anyone else needed some, they were $25, now they're $15.

...this is why you don't look for things at 2:30am.
I just ordered 6K LED fogs, wouldn't it be best to get 6K DRL also?

Word. Me and eBay have that sort of relationship. It's like Alzheimer Christmas for me from time to time.
So, on the surface, yes.
But remember that DRL is just the high beam running at lower voltage (boffins can step up and say what voltage, maybe 6V?) so that's what gives it the orangeish look from stock. So even if you replace with 6k bulbs, it'll still be orangeish when the DRL is on. Unless you pull the DRL fuse or do
that I don't really know what it is. Some sort of step-up circuit or something?
@robpp probably knows.

Well, that's different. Going to a LED in the Hi Beam / DRL changes the story a little bit.
That's not just upgrading to a 6k bulb, which itself will still seem orange at low voltage. (That's what I've got)
Going to a 6k LED in the high beam / DRL requires some goofing around to get it to work right.

you want to run full power DRL?
you MAY also need a resistor to put out the warning light on the drl if you use LED.
this looks like it solves both
R2 HONDA ACURA DRL WARNING CANCELER KIT
i care fucko i was on holiday/

Those look pretty damn white. On the cool side of the white spectrum, I'd guess 6k. Which is right about where you want to be if you want to look at it and think "white" vs. "yellowish", which is what you'd get with anything warmer.
does anyone have experience with LED Eagle eye bulbs?
Im looking at these https://www.aliexpress.com/item/2014...308.0.0.bU2xGt
Since the 2009-2011 uses a different OEM fog light housing, I am thinking of putting a cluster of 4 in each fog light housing. I figure an aluminum plate and can be cut to fit inside the reflector bowl and act as an additional heatsink. 4 of these provided the specifications are right can be run in parallel off the ~14v and hopefully be reliable as DRL fogs.

I have a part within the center console.. but I didn't walk it through the entire development. I got it through some of the initial design feasibility studies, and then I got moved off the project to help support some other projects. But honestly this van has really changed my mind about vans. It's got the whole package. It's perfect for families.
That's pretty cool, Joe!
Yeah, you're right wagons are the perfect family vehicle (I'm sure you meant to say that) until you outgrow them. Then vans (mini or otherwise) are the best choice.
I liked the gif I saw of the seat configurations. I'd probably run the two seat second row with the walkway in the middle. That's the best option so one parent can drive while the other is able to get up and go back to smack the shit out of a kid that's acting up without needing to slow down from highway speed.
