Bumper and all the stuff that attaches to the bumper needs to be converted over.

Yeah just throw a manual transmission in there. Super easy as long as you have many thousands of dollars to throw at a shop.

So when are the northern owners going to go into spring mode? Winter was pretty mild in MN. Supposed to be into the 50*F's by this weekend for good.

We have 2 more snow falls here in OH.. tomorrow and Sat, then we should be good for spring.

Although.. I didn't change anything for winter mode haha

BUT I do plan on getting Pilot SS for summer, and Blizzaks for winter.

What's everyones opinions on NOT resurfacing rotors?? Mine don't have any shutter/jutter when braking, but my pads are wearing down, was thinking about just replacing the pads.. I know longevity of pads will decreases without resurfacing, but my pads have lasted me over 5 years now, and I don't plan on having the car far that long... idk what's everyones opinions?

not sure your year but 12 had ceramic pads and that should translate into less wear than metallic.

if you do a good bedding with the new pads you can seat everything fine.

I switched to my summer tires last weekend since it looks like no snow this year. It's been mid 60's-70's here the past month and it's amazing!

I don't ever resurface new rotors. Just bed in new pads. If rotors are worn or scarred, I just pay a few bucks more and get new blanks.

Will be in the Buffalo/Toronto area in May with the in-laws. What's good to do in the area aside from the touristy stuff?

hm I'm honestly not too good with non-touristy recommendations for Toronto. I'm a foodie so restaurants come to mind; Toronto has a lot of really good food. yelp.com should help you find the better places, but if you want some specific recommendations PM me.

Not sure how (non-)touristy these recommendations are:
  1. Take a ferry to Toronto Island and rent some bikes to stroll around and chill at the parks.
  2. Watch the Victoria Day (May 23rd) fireworks at the Woodbine beach.
  3. While heading to Niagara Falls/Buffalo, maybe check out the various wineries on the way there.
  4. Check out the panda bears and polar bears at the Toronto Zoo.
  5. Take the TTC (our municipal transit system) to experience just how shitty/outdated our infrastructure is.
  6. Rent a car and be stuck in rush-hour traffic on the Gardiner Expressway, DVP, or 401 (any non-toll highway should be sufficient)?

Honestly... not sure lol

Thanks. We'll be there for 5 days and I don't foresee us staring at the waterfall for more than 30 minutes. It's going to be a loooong vacation.

You mean you don't resurface your old rotors right? Yeah mine feel fine, just need new pads. I don't know if the bedding process can be done twice to the same rotor?? Anyone know?

Me too for my 1 year anniversary. End of June

Rotor/pads seems to be one of those "everyone has an opinion" topics.

Gold standard would be to resurface old rotors or install new rotors each pad change. Then perform the manufacturer recommended bedding process.

Can you re-bed rotors with new pads without resurfacing? Yep. That's what the whole bedding process is about - "pairing" the new pads to the rotor, for lack of a better term.

Is it better to resurface the rotors? Probably. Necessary? Maybe not. That's a personal decision, IMO.

Can you re-bed multiple pads on a single rotor without resurfacing? Again, probably; but back to that personal decision. Follow the mfg recommend procedure and you'll likely be fine. Again IMO.

I have the stop-tech drilled rotors, and I'm not so sure shops are willing to re-surface those. (the holes could cause damage to the cutting tool).

I don't really wanna pay to re-surface, and I don't really want to take the time to do it myself either. If it's just a longevity of pads thing.. then I would rather go that route and have my pads last 4 years instead of 5. Thanks for your opinion!

So... I intermittently have the VTC actuator problem now . Maybe 1 cold start out of 10 I will hear a grinding noise that lasts about 1 second long.

Apparently even if I show the TSB and get the part replaced, there's no guarantee it'll fix the issue. The 8G Accord has the same issue, but their TSB has been recently updated to say not to replace any parts on affected vehicles.

So many new threads about wheels/tires and fitment. It's like we trust biased personal opinions more than mathematical/computerized calculators and facts. Shooo, online calculators even dumb themselves down and provide pictures for those of use who don't understand numerical data.

Feels almost similar to this year's problems with people and presidential candidates.

Ok. Rant over.

I love Honda!

I hate that 99% of Honda owners are more concerned with "stanced/fitment" of wheels, than any other thing on their car.

This is another reason why I wanna move towards a more performance oriented crowd like subie.

Yeah I used to help, but the amount of ignorance and lack of searching as of late has led me to no longer want to help. There's ample information specific to the CU2 on this forum already.... if they can't search, that's too bad.

It's the circle of life, guys!

Stick around any forum long enough and you see this too. Again and again and again.

You can tell when you've become one of the more "senior" members when it starts to bother you.

So you either start tearing n00bs apart, you reply with , or you suck it up and remember when you were a doe-eyed doofus too and point 'em in the right direction.

Or option 4. You do nothing and poke fun at the n00bs where they don't know to look yet.

Wish I could have gotten a V6 TSX. Then the car would be much better IMO. Actually been looking to see if I could trade mine in for one, but they're like unicorns. One I found had too many miles.

So the mornings are getting brighter and the sun stays up longer, which reminds me I get a nasty glare back to the windshield from the light sensor and center speaker cover on the dash.

Anyone else get this/annoyed by this?

For those of you running J-Power 3 piece, it's ok to just run the lower camber arm by itself with the other 2 OEM arms right?

Believe you can. SPC sells the 1 arm too, but you only get +/-1* of camber adjustment. You need the 3 piece to get the full +/- 3* of adjustment.
