Any opinions on drilled vs. slotted? Getting new pads + rotors since I have destroyed mine. From what I have read, slotted provides better braking distances, but wears out pads quicker, and drilled doesn't do anything, but it looks cool and is more prone to cracking. 99% regular driving, but I am doing my first Auto-X in February/March and first track day not long after that, so I am weary of drilled. But lots of OEMs (BMW, MB, etc..) use drilled on their performance cars and I haven't read much about Stoptech having problems.

My opinion is that both are mostly for looks. The biggest factor in rotors is the venting vains to dissipate heat.
Slots, drilled, dimpled, it all looks cool but doesn't do much. Or rather, the affect they do have is overwhelmed by just having a vented blank.
I would go slotted and drilled because I think it looks coolest of all.
Pads make the most difference. Buy name brand rotors of whatever floats your boat, and run fresh fluid and you should be set.

I think the cracking thing has kind of been debunked as a myth.
All i can say with drilled and slotted rotors in both my TSX and G the rotors have never warped, but both cars in their stock configuration warped horribly. the TSX would judder really bad after a few hard stops.

Alright thanks.
And is it possible to rent a C clamp/brake pad spreader, or should I just buy one?

Autozone shows it in their "Loan-a-Tool" section... So it looks possible.

Looking at "stanced" cars from the rear....seeing the t'oo wide' wheels with round sidewall, stretched tires reminds me of fat kids with chubby fingers.

Alright last question, my friend told me for that for the Cl7 that the rear caliper needs a different tool (not a c clamp) to push the piston back in to go over the brake pad. Is it the same for CU2s or can I use the c clamp for the rear?

Hey guys, what's the going rate for an 09/10 grille? I put my extra one up for sale locally. Didn't realize it was such a hot item. Or I priced it too cheap.

If you got what you wanted then that is what it's worth.
But if it were me, I'd spitball around $200-$250 for one in good condition. If I had one to sell, I'd probably shoot for $225 and be happy with $200. If I were buying, I'd be looking for $200, hoping to scratch however much off that as possible trying to get down to $175-$185.
But that's just me.

I priced the parts out in my local CL ad. It's over $300 if dealer bought, but I figured the market for 09/10 grille's wouldn't be that hot. I guessed wrong. Someone's getting a heck of a deal. +1 to my karma bank for later usage.
