Wait no one with a 5AT got the oil consumption warranty extension letter from Acura? I didn't know this problem was exclusive to 6MT.

So you just tell the dealer you want the test for the extended oil consumption warranty?

The service advisor was nice AF when she helped me, she understood my worries.

Just go in and explain your oil consumption and they'll give you a test.

So who knows anything about air compressors and air tools? Looking to get a compressor and impact gun. Tired of my battery powered Craftsman dying losing juice after 2 lugs. This has also been a summer of axles, hubs, and suspension replacements galore. Getting too old for hand tools and cheater bars.

Bigger is better.

A small pancake tank/compressor will work but the bigger the tank, the less the compressor will need to run while you're using it.

I still don't own one as I haven't absolutely *needed* one yet; always been able to manage with hand tools and a small tire compressor for tire topups.

But, this is in line with what I'll pick up if/when the time comes: Craftsman.com

How's the RSB mounting points taking the stiffness? I see pictures and hear stories of the RSB stress fracturing the mounting brakets when paired up with stock suspension.

as long as you drive over bumps, evenly...you'll be fine.

but if you take things at angles, or hit a deep pothole, you're stressing one side of the RSB, which will tear at the mounting point

Honestly I've yet to check. If anything decides to go, it'll be the endlinks. The mounting point should be fine as I'm using the provided backing plates.

Forgot that CAN models had a "base" TSX trim that came w/o fogs and other luxuries. I don't think Obert will be parting off the fogs. They are standard equipment for US spec.

cu2wagon says otherwise

the mounts will tear the subframe first, waaay before the endlinks get damaged.

why Dafuq no one listens to me? idunno...but we're rehashing this same subject.

Not sure if serious...

I only vaguely remember something about this before. I remember saying something but I don't remember what... I blame cough syrup.

So either, thanks Justn, or go punch yourself.

I meant the fog bulbs I have fogs, just think the stock lighting on them is kinda ugly.

If that's the case I doubt anything will tear apart in 10 years' time with the RSB on. You'd have to do something unbelievably stupid to tear the subframe even with the added stress IMO. I've read on 8th or 9th gen Civic forums (forgot which one) some owners with RSBs having their endlinks go. They probably screwed something up on install (torque spec?) but still, there seems to be a trend.

But then again, trends say Civic drivers are mostly ignorant teenage kids right?

Yeah I will be taking a huge hit on a lot of my LED bulbs because I bought the best ones form DD lighting for about $100 a pair. I have yellow now bu like I said the are great quality and really bright. So a lot of the expensive LED bulbs I will be asking $50 a pair, and then the price will drop depending on what I paid for the bulbs.

I have well over $500 in just LED stuff on my car
