Man, Ceb's been on a roll the last few days. Not just pointing out how people void their warranty but actually been trading witty jabs in various threads.

So I bought a snow foam lance for my PW. I have an older Husky 1750 PSI pressure washer. I ordered the lance with what I though would have properly fit the PW's gun. Everything does "fit" and lock into place, but there is some leaking when I use it. I attached some pictures of what that original bayonet looks like and the attachment for the lance. I've looked on ebay and amazon and I can't find a better attachment. I'm assuming the leaking is from there not being enough of a seal near the end of the gun. Is there something I could use to fill in teh red space in the 2nd picture?
I found this wand, which has the same exact attachment I need, but the nozzle end wouldn't connect to the foam gun

This is the 2nd closest attachment I found to the orginal, but it seems too long.

Lol, I tried to be an engineer and fix it, but I'm going to return it. I think I found one with the same attachment.
Ok to buy a TSX with 110,000 miles?
Hey Acurazine,
I am considering buying a 2010 Acura TSX with 110,000 miles. I think they want mid 12s for it. The Carfax shows good upkeep on it and mostly highway miles.
1.) Is it safe to buy it with this mileage?
2.) Would it be better to just get another Civic or Accord new or 1 year old and not risk it?
3.) I drive 30,000 miles/yr and after 7 years in a Civic and 220,000 miles it really gets to be a rough/loud ride.
Let me know if would run me 3-5 years until, hopefully, I am in a better financial situation. Anyone out there have one with 250,000+ on it? Any issues? This particular one the service 4 has not been done yet.
Let me know your opinions sooner than later. This TSX is a 2.4L and in very good condition driven by a sales professional who got nervous about the mileage. It was checked over by Acura and put on the lot.

250,000+ for a 2010 would be 41,666 mi a year. I don't think we'll find too many of those.
On the other hand, I just rolled over 90,000 worry free miles. Only regular maintenance has been required.
At 110,000 miles - it is still a solid car, just make sure all maintenance was done at their required intervals - and you should be good!

Underneath the shiny Acura stuff it's really just a fancy accord / civic.. so yea it's fine. if the price is right and the condition is good then go for it.

There was some guy who put like 30-40k yearly on his car and had like tranny problems after 90-100k I think, so I'd look at that thread.

Edit edit: Also never mind, he was driving 60K a year.

Making some rough guesses, I'm coming up with about 100 miles a day to hit 30,000 in a year. Figure that's 50 miles one way, twice a day. Maybe an hour or so of constant driving? I've done a bit more than that; only maxed out around 2 hours as my longest continuous trip so far. I can say that at the end, I didn't find the seats to be living room couch cushy, but they weren't park benches either.
But, then again, if you're coming from a Civic, it's probably a minor step up to an Accord/TSX.
110,000 miles is right about where I start to consider a Toyota or Honda to be ready for it's second owner. They're certainly capable of going much further as long as A) they've been well maintained so far, and B) they're kept up in good shape going forward.
You can probably start to expect some minor issues to start cropping up. Electronics might start acting funny, some parts will start to reach end of life: starter, alternator, water pump, hoses, bushings, etc. Nothing that a little elbow grease or a checkup at the dealer won't fix.
You're talking about putting another 90,000 to 150,000 miles on it before replacing it. Just taking a rough swag, I'd say 90 is doable. 150 might be optimistic. At some point in the next 5 years / 150,000 miles, I bet there would be at least on "large" service item that might make it not worthwhile to keep the car any longer.
Honestly, for me, I wouldn't but a 110k car with the intention of putting another 150k on it but I'm a bit more risk averse than others.
But trust your gut.
Good luck and post a pic if you get it!

How long did you guys' oem tires last? I'm at 23k and my fronts are shot. Rears are medium tread.

Isn't one of the complaints about the TSX that the seats aren't the most comfortable for long periods of time? That might be a driving decision...

fucking lol. It's supposed to last like 50k. I smoked mine pretty quickly also. But this is why you are supposed to rotate the tires.

Put the van on jackstands on the top level of a parking garage.

[QUOTE=iCrap;15468089]I have heard the seat complaint but honestly the seats in my TSX are one of the most comfortable of any car i have been in. Still comfy after a 5 hour drive for me at least.
Agreed. I find the seats very comfortable as well. Drove almost 600 miles from Winnipeg to Sioux City IA right after I got the car, only stopped for fuel. Comfortable all the way.
