I don't like the new WRX at all.. Looks like an economy car with a hood scoop and plastidipped wheels imo.. STi is a bit better but I still like the 2013-2014 STi hatch and WRX hatch more.

Also saw a TLX that had it's hidden exhaust tips bent downward under the bumper.

Yup the new wrx motor is nice.. and in DD driving, the WRX takes the STI with its much better low end torque. Top end STI takes the WRX... but the difference between the STI and the WRX doesn't warrant the huge price difference anymore IMO.

I liked the last gen sedan actually. The current gen in terms of styling has definitely grown on me. To me they look really good in person now.

I like the wrx hatch/sti over any other body style.

But since they don't make the hatch anymore, I really like the 2015 bodystyle.

As far as "econocar" that is what the history of the WRX is. It is an econo car with a fast motor, nothing else.

TOyota Yaris has better interior than a WRX.

Just got back from Western NY.

Zero. The temperature there was zero. Like, can't leave a bottle of water in the car overnight and expect it to be the same phase when you get back.

WTF? And people live there *voluntarily*.

Although, they folks were super nice. I think because they're so close to Canada that the politeness rubs off.

And all the cars on the road seemed to do this strange thing when the drivers made a change in direction; a little light would start blinking at the corners of the vehicle on the side that they were changing direction to. Oddest damn thing I've seen in a while. They should enable that feature in Texas.

But really... Zero?

^one of our houston acurazine members came from the Colorado area.
when he first drove on Houston highways he made a joke "i call it the houston swerve. they Swerve through 4 lanes of traffic to get to the exit. "

it's pretty bad in houston because when you think about it; we're a melting pot of different people from all over the country.
therefore funky driving habits by every one.

It really was sort of odd to me that nearly every single driver used their signals before turning. And not immediately before cutting across, or right after actually starting the turn. Like, it was a drivers manual textbook example of what to do!

In H-Town, when I see someone with their signal on, I just figure they bumped the stalk by accident and don't know it's on. Mostly that's true.

^it's worse now that today's cars have the "bump stalk 3 consecutive blinks."

i do it in the kia. bump the stalk and immediately take the lane change....

bro I live in Canada. 0 F (or -18 C) is normal at this time of year. I think we've had -25 C (-13 F) a couple of times this winter.

I have lived in SD, SF, LA, Boston, Chicago (in the US), and I have the EXACT same thoughts as you.

I never UNDERSTAND in the US why people live in bad areas (weather) voluntarily.

It isn't like we are talking about Mexico vs US, where you have to go to another country.

If you move from upstate NY to TX or whatever, it is warmer, nicer, less taxes. There is the same Target, Walmart, Saks, Autozone, etc. Standard of living is the same for daily essentials. Never makes sense .

It is a chilly 68 degrees here

In LA, we don't use your signals. In case the lights burn out prematurely

Out of Dallas, Austin, Houston, I like Houston the least (too much like LA).

I spent 4th of July in Houston last 19 years (family). Eating the Turkey Legs at the stadium and listening to Joss Stone (before she was famous), one of my best memories.

THe houses in Woodlands, Galleria, area are gorgeous.

Hate the humidity.

My FAVORITE part of Houston is the restuarants. Man they have more restuarants there then they have whores in Vegas.

I cna't wait to move to TX someday. Get rid of this income tax.

Allows me to let out my closet hick. GOnna buy a 4 door dually. Lower it. Have a ranch...

Closest I can come to being white.

GOD LOVES TEXAS

Lot of those "food cart" guys drive S class Benzito during the day. They rake in the big bucks. YOu should see what a food cart license cost....

Two more things I love about TX

1) THey have these things called Feeder roads=brilliant idea

2) You can always take an exit, and make a u turn to go the other way in your own lane--freaking brilliant

In dallas-i hate that the curbs and the streets are the same color.... oh well..lots of bent wheels in rental cars

I think that's a general problem with knockoff style wheels though. Not a terribly unacceptable amount of risk if you're just hard parking, but I wouldn't trust an "off brand" for any amount of real track use.

Slow and show would be fine, but don't trust your life with them.

You know those folks with the tricked out autos that hang out at the Target, or In-n-Out, or Waffle House, or where ever and talk about how badass their car is and how fast it is but never seem to actually really drive it?

That's hard parking.

I thought we already went over using urban dictionary man...

ENgine was under passenger seat.

It was fun.

Well they go for about 2500-3500 in Japan auctions. IF you buy it from importer here in the US, they ask 9500-11,000. This one just sold for 10,500. I missed another one for 9500.

THings that impact the price is, 4wd, diesel, manual/auto trans.
