Asked my friend who has a GTI if I should get it and he said no, it'll make you look like a douchebag.

And yet he's the one that drives a GTI...

I went to test drive a Toyota Tundra when they first came out...
salesman sat in back while a friend drove.

salesman is rattling off all features of the truck and he mentioned the 4 doors.

I turn around and say something about fitting more girls in it and salesman was wide eyed and didnt know what to say

I think the quality of materials in it is not bad, but not a fan of the plaid seats, but they were comfortable. Also the car just feels too cramped compared to the TSX. I'd be scared to get in an accident with that car.

Yeah I've seen that one too lol.

New 5.0 looks interesting.

Built one on the configurator though and with the track pack + red interior stitching and nav with manual it was $43k....

$43k for a Mustang....

Could find a slightly used 2009/ 2010 e9x M3 or new M235i for the same price.

That'll always be the case though... new cars vs used cars.

Yeah it's always the same. It really doesn't make sense to buy a new car if you want the most performance and features for the price. Only reason to buy new is if you want that reliability and knowing that you are the first and only owner.

Point I was trying to make was how much more expensive the new one is vs. the old one which and how it might not be as much of a bargain as it once was.

I remember when I was shopping and the dealer had 2 black SEs for $25k with 4-5k miles.. Both were sold the next day lol.

When shifting from 1st to 2nd (auto) my car jerks a little bit. Even if your in sport mode and at a standstill and change into 2nd, the car actually moves a bit/jerks, as in you can feel it.

WTF.. Is this normal? All the other shifts (3rd to 4th, 4th to 5th) happen seamlessly, but the switch from 1st to 2nd jerks a little bit. Not sure if this happens only in sports mode.

that reminds me of when i was car shopping. saw a black TSX at a dealer online, so I drive over to the dealer.. and as I'm pulling in, i see the new owner of that TSX driving out.

Yeah it's cause the stupid car won't revmatch the shifts.
Edit: oh do you mean going UP from 1st to 2nd? Yeah that's normal also. my car jerks like a mofo from 1st to 2nd if you use the paddles.
It wont happen in Drive

Yea when I'm upshifting from 1st to 2nd it jerks. Like if I'm going 4 mph and upshift into 2nd from 1st it jerks/moves.

This should not be normal. No other car I've ever expierenced jerks from the 1st to 2nd shift.

I would've gotten the 6MT but my mom drives my car once in a while so it had to be auto

My next car will definitely be manual.

I actually don't have any problems with our AT, I think it shifts pretty quick and doesn't really lag at all. Other then the stupid jerk from 1st to 2nd which is annoying.

I actually let off when I shift sometimes also. That way I can pretend I'm driving a manual NSX lol.

The fact that they give you padles, but don't have rev-matching is just stupid imo.
the car jerks hard from 1st to 2nd and even harder from 2nd to 1st (unless you let off, then it's not as bad). I have even gotten the whole car to shake from 4th to 5th at like 65mph.

I really wish i had gotten the manual also, but my car was kind of an impulse buy :/ After driving so many cars i didn't like i jumped on one of the first ones i did like. and it was black on black
And my parents convinced me to get a manual, damn them.

I impulse bought mine too. But mostly because it was a white on black TECH for a great price. Only soon did I realize the TECH is garbage, and doing a double din setup is even MORE of a pain in the ass than non-TECH :sigh:.

Next car will be MT as well. Most likely an AP2 if it's still possible to find white on black or black on black with low mileage. If not, then maybe an STI for shits and giggles.

I wouldn't mind an S2K but I know it'll be near impossible to find a good one which is not beat to shit and is the color combo i like. I'll probably end up with an STI ... I do like dat AWD grip.

Yeah having AWD would be like spoiling myself. Fuckin FWD...

RWD would be nice too. Would really help improve how I treat the throttle, and you could easily have some fun after learning how to control the car. Having an underpowered car with FWD like the TSX doesn't help lol

So it just rained like a MOFO this evening in Toronto... roads were flooded and I had to turn back a couple of times to look for an alternate route. Lame thing is it was super dark cuz the power was out in a neighbourhood, and there was a moderately sized puddle that caught everyone off guard. I'm so glad I didn't install a useless cai lol.

Yeah fuck FWD I hate it so much. Never again.

I have driven the g37x (awd model) a lot and it's just a million times more fun.

I wouldn't blame the car.

I'd say re-evaluate your priorities, and set expectations accordingly.

This is true. I got my TSX with zero expectations for it to be anything like an AWD/FR car, let alone a car with higher performance. I never expected it to be fun in the sense of spirited driving. Well, to be fair I still find it fun, I love my car. But if I was looking for something (stock) that would wow me on performance, the TSX wouldn't have been on that list.

I love my car as a DD, and I intend on keeping it for many, many years to come. I wouldn't be surprised if I drove it til one of us died. I'd certainly love to have a second car/project solely for performance/hooning/fun. I just need money....

So I was stopped at a traffic light waiting to make a left turn and these two guys in a Ford Expedition I believe try talking to me since my windows were half down. I put my music down and the driver says something like, "I got these two entertaintment systems I'm trying to get rid of if you want one" I was like nah I'm good. I knew this was a scam anyways because I've seen people talk about it happening to them on Facebook. Then he said some shit like oh I saw you had a nice car and thought you might want it, something how they go for 3K. I was thinking to myself this dude just said it's free and now he would want to charge me for it? I just told him I'm good a couple of times and he just left then. Wish I woulda told his ass I knew it's a scam but didn't want to start shit.
