Anyone else ever waste time online looking at cars for sale? I think I have a problem.

Yeah I sometimes do that lol...

I've been looking at AP2s for years, only to find out that resale value isn't going to decline cuz it's a classic, and there are fewer left on the market.

I wonder how much that RV6 turbo is gonna cost (IC and parts included). I'm a total noob... do you guys think it would run more or less than the CTE SC?
TSX AMG Type //M i-VVT
It'll run more, but more power.
I'm still not sure its really worth it for us auto guys... all going through that craptastic 5AT.

yeah exactly.. I doubt I'll do it. I'm even doubting flashpro on the 5AT. These are definite wants. But then I'd be like wtf, I'm driving an auto.
Side note, man.. wish I had gotten 6mt. I mean, sure 50% of the time or more I'm pretty much stuck in Toronto traffic. But when I'm not,

I need to stick with the plan... this TSX will be my 5AT dd, and when I rack in enough dough, I'll eventually get an AP2 lol. I've even entertained the idea of buying a 6MT TSX, swapping the tranny, ecu, harness, cluster... and selling the car back as an AT. It would probably sell for more than the MT, but all that pain in the ass....
TSX AMG Type //M i-VVT
the FP is worth it even on the auto, but I have my doubts about forced induction..
BUT Utah did it and he loves it... soo idk?

Yeah, and yes I did. No rush, take your time lol.

Why not just get a 6MT? Don't go through swapping everything over.

Yeah swapping it would be a pain, but it might also be hard to find a well cared for 6mt in good shape, good condition paint, interior etc... (well unless you just buy a new one)
I'll try and remember to do it when i get home tonight lol.

I guess cuz I'm the first one to ever own my CU2.. stupid but yeah, I feel like the car wouldn't be the same anymore if I sold it and got a used 6MT. I know it's a dumb idea anyhow, just gonna keep it as a dd.

How much do you want for them and how much did you buy them for? After shipping it might not really be worth it for me over buying from ebay. I don't reallllly need them...

My FFFFFing PSU died on me after 5 months man. I just built my computer. I had a COOLMAX CL-700B 700W ATX 12V v2.2 and now Im sending it back for warranty!
I leave my computer on all the time, but it sleeps after like 45min, then after like 2 hours it hibernates. Never had a problem doing this on any other computer. Now my PSU iCrapped out on me.
What do you think about this? Should I be powering down every night? Or is hibernate drawing the same power as completely off??

The argument of should i turn off the PC vs should i leave it on is neverending. Hibernating is the same as off btw, it's just saving your current system state into the HDD (sleep saves it into the RAM)
I just leave my desktop in sleep every night.
Buy a Corsair or Seasonic PSU of whatever wattage you need. Can probably get a builder series corsair like $50. I doubt you need 700w. What do you have in there?
Don't cheap out on the PSU, if that fails it is possible to take out all your components

I'm seeing it with only 3 stars here
COOLMAX CL-700B 700W ATX 12V v2.2 Compatible with Core i3/i5/i7 Power Supply - Newegg.com
All of these PSU's are made by only a few companies and then rebranded. which is why i suggested Corsair or Seasonic as they use the same manufacturer for most of their PSUs (A pretty good one)
Not only that but these cheaper ones rate they for more than they can actually put out... I bet you that thing can't come close to 700w, and it's not even 80 plus certified.
Take a look at this, SeaSonic S12G S12G-650 650W ATX12V / EPS12V 80 PLUS GOLD Certified Active PFC Power Supply - Newegg.com
Your build could probably even get away with a 500w... The 760 doesn't take much power.

Alright, I might take your advice on that SeaSonic. I still have to send this PSU back for warranty and hopefully they will send me a new one. The hard part will be trying to sell this thing.
I remember looking into SSD and the amount of space offered was not as much as HDD for the same price. I know that SSD is obviously better but.... ehh.
The whole reason I built this computer is to edit gopro videos without bogging down and lagging (I use APP). If you have advice for bettering my build that doesn't cost too much over $100 I will look into it.
Also... I can't even use all 3TB of space on the HDD, something about Windows 8 not being able to recognize over 2TB. I was gunna try and partition and do all that junk but Im not even close to using 1T yet, so I left it as is...

+1 to the SSD idea. I did it a few months ago and love it. Use your larger hard drive for stuff like movies and pictures and install main programs on the SSD.
Was going to suggest exactly this. I've been looking into doing an SSD swap myself. Right now I have normal drives (2 TB, WD Black Series), one dedicated for media (music, movies, etc) and the other for Steam/Origin installs. I would love to get the OS onto an SSD for at least the boot time advantages.
ROTAREDOM
If you transfer the OS to SSD do you have to do that whole re-install process? Or is it as easy as moving the program files to new loction?

I get 700mbs/ read/write which is great for when i edit pics / vids. The photos from my D800 are 40-50MB Each lmao.
I forget how to fix the 3TB issue... did you install the drivers for the motherboard's SATA controller?

Got my dad an SSD a couple of years ago (when $1/GB was considered a deal) and he loves it. It's a must... the performance difference is night and day. Joe think about it this way, boost vs no boost?
