Will wait till I finish college to do what I really want.

I drove tons of cars when choosing this one and things like this you don't realize in the 20 minute test drive. When it comes down to what my options were considering insurance costs for my age group, overall price, reliability, etc, the TSX was the right car. I also do love the way these cars look.

I bought CPO, not new. In the 2 months I was looking for cars nonstop I found that the majority of cars CPO have repainted bumpers, crappy repair jobs, etc... and these are sold by the dealer.

When i found this car it was perfect, interior looked brand new, not a single dent on the body, no resprayed bumpers. So i jumped on it. My only regret is not getting a manual, but I just really couldn't wait any longer. I don't think it's really worth the hastle of trading this for an MT, assuming i can even find one that's not beat to hell or repainted.

I know what I want next: AWD, manual, v6 or turbo 4. leaving my options to be wrx, sti, evo, q50 awd, g37 awd, and a tl shawd.

Is it listed on the Acura Bluetooth connect compatibility list?

Yeah as a commuter the TSX is a great car. It's gonna give you the reliability and great gas mileage and also is pretty comfortable. My only knock is that I wish it had more power, not necessarily V6 power, but maybe if they had a 4 with a turbo like the previous RDX's that'd be nice.

No it wasn't.

They had the One S which is an older version of what I have. Does that mean I'm SOL for using the bluetooth?

Oh if it had the RDX's k23 turbo that would be great... my friend has got the RDX. even though it's a giant heavy car it is FAST. The trans in his car is also much better than the TSX's.
That car weighs something like 4000lb and is actually faster than the TSX.

btw your bluetooth will work... I have paired a one X. Keep trying.

My dad has a 2010 RDX. God that thing is horrible when it comes to fuel economy though. I think he averages 21mpg. It's still a fun little car. I almost wish it was mine so I could put a cold air intake in it at least lol.

Alright cool, hopefully the damn thing decides to connect one day!

I have a HTC One and mine connects fine with my TSX. I can accept calls and play music and everything via bluetooth. What happens when you try to connect yours rawger?

Nothing happens that's the problem haha. I turn Bluetooth on and set it to discoverable but after a while it just says nothing was detected. I've done it over and over. I've paired my dad's phone to his car before. It was never a hassle.

VR1, is yours updated to 4.2? I'm thinking that might be the issue actually.

Might want to bite the bullet and just go to the dealer to have them do it for you. That's weird that it isn't working though.

Hmm.. Thats weird. So the TSX doesn't see the HTC when searching for it on Bluetooth? Have you tried trying to pair when the car is on? Sometimes my car doesn't detect my phone unless the car is actually on vs. When the key is on accessory position. I converted my One to the GPE version so I'm on 4.4.2, but I was still able to connect my One when I was on stock sense on 4.2
Which version are you on? I'd probably go to the dealer as EhkoXC said if nothing works.

My bad I meant 4.4 not 4.2. The kit Kat version.

Yeah I have to go to Acura anyways. I saw there's a TSB for the front windshield side molding coming loose. I have that and need it fixed.

Also the only time I've tried connecting is when the car was running I believe.

I actually just tried again when I got home, finally got it to pair! I guess I went further in the options mode this time and it was pretty easy. Before it wasn't giving me the 0000 confirmation code to enter. Next step is for the garage...lol

brz drives really well, i drove one a little while ago. it literally has no balls though. our cars feel like they have more grunt even though power is the same. all in all bra is a great car.

okay bros i want less for my car and I'm getting frustrated because i can't find the right part numbers for the adapters. what are you guys using? i have also heard the vleds are a somewhat unreliable have you guys had any issues ?

I don't really care about outright power.. If I did I wouldve bought a mustang or something. I've driven the FRS, 5.0, and the 370Z. The FRS was the only one that I came out of outright giggling in. I don't think I've ever driven anything near as fun as that thing. It was literally perfect. It was balanced, communicative, and a car you could drive 10/10 predictably, words I definitely could not use to descibe the other 2. Chassis Dynamics, steering feedback, balance > power any and every day.
Same reason why Porsches are so expensive when you can buy a car with the same power for 60% less. Anyways my daily driving/route consists of a lot of back road/twisty roads with a max speed of 35, where you can hit maybe 60mph without careening off.

Edit: As an example, when I take my friend on in his 5.0, he cannot keep up with me on the twistys. Only time he got me was when I slowed down to let a passing 458 by.

Well yea that does make sense, BRZ is a fun car. Why would you keep both the TSX after getting the BRZ though?

Also imo buying a nice car you care about in college is a bad idea. When people go in my car they treat it like crap, slamming doors, scratching trim peices / paint, leaving trash and shit. Gonna wait till at least senior year to get a new car. (wrx, sti, evo, or q60 awd, no more 2wd). Unless your just burning your parents money, then whatever lol. Did you pay for your TSX?

I'll probably keep the TSX cuz I enjoy it, and a can't keep a BRZ as my only car, need something larger anyways. By few years I meant by after I graduate from college, or around senior year as you said if I can afford it (with my own monies). Nah I didn't pay for my car, I do a bit of day trading but no where near enough to buy a car with.

If someone treats my car like that I'd tell them to gtfo. Slamming doors is a pet peeve of mine.

Anyone good at detailing and done their own car, or know any good threads on Acurazine I should read. It's something I really want to get into. I'm thinking of getting a Meguiars Dual Action Polisher. It's still a little pricey, but it will pay for itself after I use it a good 2-3 times.

I'm on the fence as Mercedes does offer LIFETIME roadside assistance, up to 5 gallons of gas, or they change the tire for you, or they tow you to a dealer within range, etc.

IMO Mercedes does have superior quality (older models) and superior technology (older models), BUT this is all my opinion as is yours and I'm always on the fence of BMW Vs Mercedes.

It's the same as saying Fuck the newer ///M5's and the E39 ///M5 is the best, yet I would still own a E60 M5 one day with the SMG (Complex and problematic transmission yet still sort of reliable).
