I'm guessing the latch attached to the release goes to passenger side and the lever is pretty obvious lol

i ended up taking the latch out.
its bolted to the frame by three bolts.

once this is done the hood raises with the hood latch attached. i then got enough clearance behind to unhook the latch with a screw driver

test drove the ilx this weekend at the test drive event...the hybrid is so underwhelming...i stomp on the gas and there's no pull. it just speeds up super slow. i dont think i can handle a hybrid ever.

2.0 was nice...handling felt looser than my tsx. inside was roomy but tsx definitely had more room. i've never been in the passenger seat of my car or the backseat so i don't know how it is but in the back of the ILX it was fine. plenty of room/leg space. in the driver seat, it had enough room but i definitely had more room in my driver seat. the width of the driver seat/console/passenger seat was less than the tsx. makes sense since tsx is wider but ilx did not feel tight at all. trunk space was big for such a short trunk.

if i was still shopping for a car, i would have to have some more time in the ilx and tsx to decide between the two. so yea hybrid is lacking but 2.0 was nice.

 

Hey crab man, I punched a crab in the face today! It got all pissed off and skuttled away. But really I did, it was in the way when I was diving for lobsters. Regular season just opened up. I gotta say guys, the FL keys are pretty nice right now. Water temp is about 82F.

Crabman, houston to dallas is about 6 hours. When i did it, it wasn't too bad.

You must have been going to the farthest opposite points of each city or something because its way less than that.

From downtown to downtown its about 3.75 hours. For me its almost exactly 4 hours (going ~5 over the whole way). For crabman its probably about the same amount. Im 5-10 minutes north of downtown Dallas.
