Man wtf... I've been toying with a V1 the last week, PSL 15+ when anyone else is driving, PSL 5+ when I'm driving (for obvious reasons). Which V1 do you have? 1.8? 1.85?

 

Ide, Tin bought it off ebay, shit was semi broke(arrows aren't accurate, button didnt work), but now the button works after I ran it for a while in the Ody :P

What do you guys suggest for a decent radar detector? V1? or something else. V1 is kinda expensive..

Fixed, Don't get a 9500i, and if it's a V1 try to get a 1.85...

You can check by getting the serial # found on the bottom and entering it in here and it will tell you the version. 9500ix try to score it for $250 great condition maybe even with box, V1 try to also score $250 1.85 and in great condition... Harder to find a V1 that cheap.

What's the difference between the IX and non IX? and why do i want a 1.85 v1 as opposed to whaver the newest thing is?

 

The newest V1 is a 1.85... an I can be 8 years old, Ix can be about 5 years old but still a lot more updated, better ranger/sensitivity, a lot of people think the 9500i is outdated and I don't think it knows where red lights cameras are (it's not updated either way. 9500ix's are the way to go really.. V1 has too many falses. Try to find an IX thats a one owner and thats only a few months to two years old and with a case for like $250.

 

Looks like the IX goes for around 180-230 on ebay. So is that the way to go then?
EDIT: Some say blue and some say red. Is that just the color of the screen or does it mean something else too?

Well.. 9500i is red and 9500ix is blue right? Some 9500ix's were also offered in RED but be warned some people do try to pass up their 9500i as a IX, big difference. Show me some ad's and maybe I can help. 180-230 is cheap.. lol in the chicago area people are listing them 300-400... some 250's and some 275's.

 

Well turns out the ones for 180 were as is / untested. Looks like the working ones are 200+
I'll post some of the ads i am watching when i get to my PC.

First off that scion looks like shit and second fuck scion for bringing that color to the normal TC and making my wifes RS8 no so special.

As the for radar detector post my phone decided to correct half that to what apple thought it should say. What I was trying to say is that I could not get in and drive my car with out the radar detector saying service required and would not turn on. Though once the radar cooled down it would work fine until the day it just never worked period.

 

9500i suck.. Lol, I must also say I hate apple.
