2012 TSX multi-informational display locked out

We just picked up this 2012 TSX Premium package belenova white sedan for my wife and I have a question. Why wont it let me get into the driver settings in the Multi Information Display, it keeps giving me an unauthorized access error message. How do I gain clearance to get into this function of the car

Take it back to where you bought it, have them figure it out. I've never heard of this issue..

sounds like it may not be paired to the key, but the dealer is the best option

You probably tried this already, but just give it a try ...

You know you can get into that setting only with your engine shut off, and key in I position, right?

I never tried that so I went outside to try puting the keys in the ignition with it in the 'I' position and the MID wont turn on until the keys are in the 'II' position. Here is what the error message looks like

And here is my wifes new TSX next to my 2005 TL

Hmm I am going to guess that the key isn't paired? If memory serves me correctly, while close to the car to make sure it picks it up, hold down the lock and unlock buttons simultaneously on the key (I think the red light on the key will flash when it is done correctly) and then try it in the car afterward to see if this does the trick.

it only took 3 mentions of pairing the key before OP did it.

btw this info was in the manual...

Take the car to an Acura Dealer. they will be able to pair the key so the car can recognize it and be able to set.
