you could possibly pull the hdd out and attempt to 'image' it to a bigger size. honestly, he doesn't use it. i see his ipod on it all the time, like 4 CDs on his hdd list, lol.

I believe it's actually a 40GB with the rest of it reserved for the navi maps. It's probably one of those ultra ruggedized drives for laptops.

i think the zdx is better then the tsx wagon

Its a great car for daily driving, and it will be my daily driver for a long time to come. Just its one of those one time purchases. Next time I'll get something a bit more expensive and fun, Not just a newer version of the same intro to luxury vehicle.
I personally like to step up as i move through life, not side ways into the same but new vehicle.

Yes, there has been no word on the final builds of 2010s and remember that we order 3 months in advance of the cars arriving. Also remember that they may shut off production of unpopular colors and/or manual transmissions earlier than the rest of production.

OK, you have my interest. So, I have an 05 TSX and I started out thinking the same way. I started looking around at different cars, and no matter how hard I tried, I could not identify another car that would upgrade me fully from the 2011 TSX experience (performance + tech + reliability + space/4 doors), but would not be over $40k.
As much as my career has advanced, I remain a frugal, value-based shopper who doesn't want to just blow money like there's always going to be more of it. $42k for a car is a lot of coin. I'd rather stay in the $30s if possible. Heck, my 2005 TSX w/NAV was $29k!!
So... what are the alternatives? I've looked at the G37, the A4, the 328, and even the XF.

So, this makes it sound like Sept is the roll-out time frame.

if you're staying in the 30's the tsx is the best car to get lol
especially now with the v6 option, I drove that the past week and it was an amazing car. BUT I'd wait till they upgrade nav, so like 12 or 13' model
All though my co-worker just got a G37S Fully loaded for 37 out the door, so maybe look at the 4door see if you can get it fully loaded out the door for that price

Why the 'lol' on the in the 30s comment? ANd fully loaded G37S for $37k? When I load it up, I end up at $43 rather quickly. Is there that much flex in the price?
Also.. I'm torn over the looks of each. The G37 is finally looking nice, but I still think the TSX looks nicer -- less Japanese.

LOL, I’m not sure where you drew that conclusion!? All I can say for sure is that they haven’t closed production yet, and once they do, we’ll still get 2010s for 3 months afterwards. Also remember that it is not unprecedented for them to ‘underlap’ production if dealer inventories are high.

It still remains to be absolutely confirmed, of course, that the non-wagon TSX's benefit from the same upgrades as the wagon. But it would appear to be 90% likely at this point.
What is still confusing is the rumor/non-rumor that the TSX hybrid will be the first Acura with that technology, and that it's slated for "2011." The question remains: Is that the 2011 model year (unlikely) or 2012 model years that are released in 2011...
#62
Well, I guess I draw it from a few data points: Prior release dates for model years, combined with the fact that the sales guy who leaked to me the 2011 specs (see my first post -- which seems to all have become true) said that the 2011's will be coming out in September!

For all the times that Honda's insistence to create uniform cars and reduce the trim versions of the cars is turned into a negative here on the forums, in this case, it works in our favor. I agree, I cannot see them continuing with the old navi systems in the sedans while the wagon gets the newer ones. Just beware, the new system is not without it's flaws.
As for the car after the Wagon, I think that they've said that the new 'smart luxury' initiative will delay product introductions. Whereas they were once promising a new or revised product every 6 months, it's now every year. IMO, this means that the soonest we'll see something is 12 after the wagon, (however, there have been recent hints to a 'surprise or two' by Mendel. Not sure what to make of it?)

Care to comment a bit more on the newer nav not being "without its flaws" comment? I'm quite curious, as the technology is one of the bigger draws for me to Acura.
It would be a great "one more thing..." moment for Acura is they released a hybrid TSX this fall. That could create some real buzz -- sport/luxury/hi-tech sedan with 28/35mpg. And a free beak with every purchase.

Yeah, Sept is a fair guess, but remember that the last two years were somewhat 'atypical' for TSX. 2008-09 was the changeover and '09 was ... well... just a crappy year. Its seemed to me that Acura only had8 months of TSX production in 2009.

Most in the TL forum are not pleased with the way the new systems handles the phone/voice dialing interface. I include this in the Navi part because it is integrated now. You do get the nifty phonebook import, but adding voice tags is a pain. I thought I'd get used to demoing it, but it's still annoying 2 years later.

^^Well I remember the complaints in 2003 when the TL debuted that it couldn't import the numbers from the phone and that you had to input them one by one. Customers got what they wanted, phone book import, but now it's stored within the Navi system. On the plus side, you've got space for 1000 names with 10 numbers each. As for the imported names, we just tried and they did not display names, only the numbers. On the plus side, it's much easier to read them on the Navi screen vs, the MID

I probably don't know the phone #s of 90% of my contacts now. I knew 90% of them 5 years ago.
#68
^^It seems to me that the car is displaying the incoming caller ID info (which doesn't include names) and not trying to match it to a number in the navi database. In this regard, you're no worse off than before.
#69
Incredibly disappointing that caller ID names aren't showing up when a call comes in. Y'know, in this day in age, phone #s are becoming the equivalent of IP addresses -- they're technical identifiers more than identities anymore.

this is my main gripe with my TSX, actually. the navi and the handsfree are two seperate systems and the integration between both is pure CRAP.
#70
Believe me, I think that having two separate systems is preferable. As I said, it's been two years and the new system still has me scratching my head at times.
#73
It's 5 months 'til September. Looking for more info on the 2011 TSX specs! I've heard that replacement beaks will be available as a dealer option, and that the TL's NAVI system will be moved to the TSX. According to the TSX Wagon specs, the TL's NAVI system is indeed moving to the TSX in 2011. Will an optional beak be in the cards, too?
How about further improved drive-by-wire steering feel on-center?
How about hybrid engine?
How about 6MT V6?
How about Google Map data integration?
Looking for reasons to stay with the TSX the second time around...
