no way are they $30 a piece, the cheapest i've seen them go for is $90+ for a brand new UNCUT key. buying a used cut key is pointless unless you want to buy a whole new blade which i believe alone cost a lot as well.

i went to a local mall that has a keysmith, he programs and cuts and quoted me $175, which i thought is reasonable cheap. the dealership i would only guess would probably be $200+ for a brand new key.

They used to cost $30 in 08/09. Us Aussies were buying them back then to use with our Accord Euros, though I'm pretty sure Honda/Acura was onto the Key modding scene and jacked up their price signifcantly.

Bought a CU2 TSX key last week for $117 + $10 int. shipping from Acura of Santa Monica...where ever that it. A normal blank key is $140 here so why not get the switchblade at a cheaper price .

$30 for the OEM switchblade key? that's the only one i'm referring to, not the generic keys. funny how this is like one of the most expensive keys out for acura

But the keysmith didn't have the oem switchblade fob right?

Yes, a Genuine Acura switchblade key. Part No: 35113-TL0-A00 or A10 depending on memory seat.

Here's a link to all the Aussies getting them for $30 from Acura of Petoria a few years back:

Like I said, I looked everywhere to get it for that price. $117 was the cheapest I found nowdays.

They also use the for the normal Accord/Accord Coupe's in America:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ai76-nAQ_2A

If you search through the comments, you'll find the video poster also paid $29 for that Genuine 09+ TSX key (not a heeltoe version).

Honda Jazz scene aswell:

Look at last comment here:

http://www.fitfreak.net/forums/2nd-g...emote-mod.html

35113-TL0-A10 - KEY, IMMOBILIZER & TRANSMITTER(BLANK) $27.42

I think this was the regular price though:

http://www..net/forums/7th-generatio...lip-key-3.html

09 TSX memory 1 - part# 35113-TL0-A00 - $40.70
09 TSX memory 2 - part# 35113-TL0-A10 - $30.02

All other Acura keys you had to cut out the immobilisers and fiddle with the keys, the TSX key on the otherhand same FCC and ID numbers so straight programming and cut. I guess Honda was onto that.

I just call my nearest Acura dealer and they want 240.00 for a new key, and they refuse to cut and program unless you buy the key from them. Lol.
Has anybody found a cheaper way to get a TSX switchblade key (2009) cut?
