Suspension Question
Suspension Question
What the best suspension setup for an 02 acura tl-s (I know tein ss is the best but just cant spend my money on it right now)
Something that doesnt cost much and is decent.
I want something that i can adjust up and down from time 2 time.
Or if someone has a decent suspension setup forsale lmk thanks

It's almost 100% preference as to what is best. It completely depends on:
- how much of a drop you want
- what kind of ride quality you want (close to OEM or stiffer)
- how much you want to spend ($700-1500)
- what kind of application (purely street, track days)
The most common coilover setup I've seen members using is the Tein SS system;
however, some have said (including jjashaa) that the basics will do just fine.
I've also seen members using various other brands that for some reason escape
me at the moment. I think...(comptech, skunk2, H&R make coilover setups for our cars)

if not... Then get the bilstein shocks with the ground control coilover sleeves.... Or try searching up some coilivers that fit the 98-02 accordv6... I know somebod here has the NEX coilovers.. Don't know how they ride.. I think the megan coilover are good.. Comes with 32 dampening adjustment so it'll be easier to find what stiff/soft you're looking for
I'd advise holding off / saving up for Tein SS.
I've had the Tein SS for quite awhile, and have loved them since day 1. As the 'super street' name implies, the adjustability range is suited for street and light track use.
Suspension is a function of available grip, so your tire choice plays a huge role in how the car behaves/feels. The SS's adjustability range allows for well compensation to all sorts of tires (I've ran Yoko AVS100, Federal 595, Pirelli P Zero Nero, and currently on Hankook RS2's).
Comfortable. Sporty. Excellent.
ps: Tein recommended spec is a great starting point (or finishing point) for suspension setting.

well.. the op wouldn't have to spend that much more.. he's lookin for something not too stiff or not too soft.. basics would be like.. right in between. would be pretty close to what the OP is looking for..

Exactly, people think and say they are great because you can "change" the height. Adjusting them isnt easy, It takes a good bit of time getting them all the same, and you need an alignment after doing so every time.
OP, where about in Texas are you?
Roads in Houston and Dallas are relatively flat with some bad roads here and there... Roads in San Anton and Austin are kinda crappy, but doable...
I got the Tein SS Coilovers and haven't been disappointed in the ride, yet... I have made a few adjustments thus far, and will prolly make another (to lower the front a bit more). I think this is best set-up as I can adjust the ride height and dampening... I think you will be pleased with the Tein SS Coilovers...

Spend less with decent ride that's not too stiff or soft... Basics in my opinion... Rode in some cars with them and they ride perfect if you ask me...

The best bang for the buck coilover is the TEIN Basic. It is suited for a daily driver and it performs well. The build quality on TEIN is far superior to most other companies with less of a price tag.
Why dont you consider getting some koni yellows they dont even compare the tokiko blues or even the illuminas. They offer a lifetime warrenty and can take a pretty high sping rate and a aggresive drop. They can also be rebuilt to custom specs.
Then get the gc sleves with either the standard rates or custom rates and the top hats if you want to drop it low for the extra shock travel. This set up is very well known and has got tons of great reviews.
This is what I plan to get for the tl ive ran it on all my cars for a long as i can remember and have never been disapointed with it.
