Replace AVID V4S?

I have been running the Yoko P255/15/R16 AVID V4S (+1 size) tires on my 00 TL since I dumped the original squishy Michelins & it's getting time for replacement. I Understand these are now out of production and would like something as reliable as these have been -

Is there a Yoko replacement out there that still gives the same mileage/performance I've been getting w/ these?

thx

I've used Yokos AVID V4S before & have switched to Continental Extreme Contact DWS. So far, I'm pretty satisfied with the Conti Tires.

PS: I have read of some issues regarding weak sidewalls n the Contis - That's why I dumped the Michelins for the Yoko V4S (two sets now) - Anyone care to comment?

Thanks

There is no such thing as "Yoko P255/15/R16". Maybe you got the numbers transposed. Yoko P215/55R16 sounds better.

I've not heard that about contis, but have with general. If you liked the v4s, the closest match would be the yoko envigor. I went through 2 sets...I got about 25,000 miles out of both, and got my prorated warranty both times. Both sets had great grip and handling, but the second set got noisey with age. I went with pirelli p zero nero a/s this time and I'm happy so far.

the original Michelin tires lasted 74,000 miles on my 06 tsx-I liked them-They all measured 4/32 when I replaced them with the Yokohama Avid 4Vs tires. They now have 52,000+miles. I was not happy with them-lose traction easy of wet pavement and very noisy (IMO). Now researching my next tire purchase.

just an fyi - I have had Pirelli P-zero Nero M&S and Falkein ZE 912s and to be honest with you, the OEM Michelin tires have been the best. In the past, I had Michelin Ones on my 88 Legend and they lasted for 72,000 and were super quiet and still had life in them when I sold the car

Pirelli trammed and made noise as they got older.
Falkens ride nice but have gotten real noisy as they aged (25,000 miles).

I will probably go back to the MIchelin tire or Yokohama AVID TRZ, I have them in my other 3 cars and no problems to date.
