Prelude Rims on '99 TL

Hey guys,
What do you think about 2000 Prelude rims on a 99-01 TL?

I believe they'll fit (if the other threads are correct) - I wonder if anyone on here has seen them on a TL, and do you think they look good? or ???

Hmm... I would like to see a picture or maybe someone photoshop them on. For some reason it just doesn't sound like something thats going to look good.

Which kind? I think there were 16s and 17s available for the last gen Prelude ...

i dont think there is any point in putting them on if they were 16s. they're pretty similar to the 02-03 tlp style arent they?

One of the first gen guys has prelude wheels on his car and it looks really good. I'm not so sure about the second gen but i can be wrong. I would also like to see some pics.

That was genius, Unkn0VV17! Nice photoshopping. I don't have a drop like that TL, but I think it looks AWESOME. Yeah, it would be nice if they were 17's but whatever. When I get them on my car (and I think they look good) I'll post pics. I don't have the rims yet - I was considering buying some.

lol...maybe it's a sign for you to drop it. Used a picture of my car with those wheels...lol I agree that it doesn't look that bad but wish it was bigger.

Yes! So I just got the Prelude rims. They were just $150, so I figured what the heck. I don't care if they're the same size as my stocks. The Prelude rims are in very good shape. My stock rims are pretty scratched up from the previous owner, so the car would never look completely clean even after a good washing.

Problem is, the center cap sizes are a little different. So unless I can find Acura caps that are the same size, I'll be riding with the Honda logo in there - which is a little weird, I agree. I think I'll look on Ebay and try to figure out if there are Acura caps that will fit the Prelude rims.

As for the drop...given the condition of roads around here in New Orleans, a drop just means I would scratch up the body kit something horrible.

Use the center caps as an excuse to get a JDM conversion?

hahaha...i was thinking that if i was all into the Inspire look I'd do that, but I like my Acura symbols. look better to me~ i went home at lunchtime and i checked it out - my stock center caps are actually the same diameter as the Prelude caps. I'm not sure about the depth of the prongs, but if those are a match, then i'm set, baby! Expect pics soon!!!

^^ looking forward for pics! Maybe if you get something that has a minimum drop? Anything is better than stock.

If you don't want to upgrade size, the Type SH had nice wheels (think they were 16's though - think, even the first model s2000 came w/16s). They were powder coated instead of machined with thin 5 spoke design.

The rims installed

Better late than never, right??

Here's the car. I wrapped 225/55/16's on the Prelude rims. Looks OK, eh?

I suppose it doesn't help handling to have such wide tires on these rims which are about the same width as the OEMs, but eh...whatever...Besides just looking a bit better, it keeps the rims from getting scratched when I park next to curbs cuz they kind of stick out sideways.

Btw, I'm gonna lower about an inch soon on H&R OE's.
