With a 225/35 tire it should fit, but definitely cut tabs to avoid rubbing.

I'd love to know your definition of the word "fit"

Maybe you should focus on facts, not the fiction you read on the board.

Inner clearance: 7mm less
Outer clearance: EXTEND an extra 31mm (1.22")

It'll look like shit, will rub if you drop it.

Care to provide some more of your insight?

I'm currently running some 18x8 +38 offset with 225/40 tires. I cut tabs and rolled fenders and I now have no problems rubbing. I purchased a SPC camber kit because im dropped 3.5" front, 2.75" rear. I have almost perfect alignment now and my wheels/tires do not stick out of the fender, it's a tight fit but they don't stick out.

So I can say for a fact that 18x8 +38 WILL fit. 19x8 +43 with 225/35 isn't very much different now is it? And my definition of "fit" is that it is possible to have those size wheels on our TLs. 19x10 +20 offset won't fit, 19x8 +43 will fit.

Even after you cut the tabs AND rolled your fenders they still don't fit.

You just acknowledged what I was saying. Anything will "fit" it you're willing to modify with the fenders.

I'm going to be a nice guy and give you a warning for insulting me. Keep it up and you won't have to worry about my posts on the board for a while.

Ok but the damn point is that they fit! Modifying it or not, they fit. Your point is that it wont fit if you just slap it on there and thats it. Sometimes they don't make wheels that we like with the perfect offset you know. If worse comes to worse, you just cut tabs and possibly roll fenders. It won't kill you, trust me.

And what are you talking about a warning? What is the point of having a smiley on the list that is so insulting? If you were to ban me for calling you a n00b then you are taking advantage of your MOD privileges. You're acting like if I offended you're kids or if I called you a dumb fuck or something. Only thin about my post that was disrespectful was " "

lol seriously, you are way too uptight and a little too sensitive. How about you take the smiley off the list if it's so offensive? For aslong as its there, apparently it is fine to be posted by anyone, at any time.

I have 18x8 +50 and they FIT perfectly. I never had to trim the bumper tabs or roll my fenders.

Back to the question at hand. Will they fit?

Sure if you're willing to roll your fenders and cut the bumper tabs. You conveniently left that out of your response. I think that was the answer he was looking for.

We give people the proper specs for wheels for a reason: so they don't have to deal with all the issues you had to deal with.

I think this thread has passed its expiration date.

This was my original post in this thread. I clearly stated he may have to cut tabs to have no rubbing with the size wheels he wants. I understand you guys give people the "proper" specs so they don't have to worry about stupid things that I had to do for my wheels. All I said to him is that it will fit, but cutting tabs will be his best bet to have no rubbing with his desired wheels. I never recommended low offset wheels at any point in this thread

If cutting the tabs was all he had to do, I agree I would not have even bothered, BUT he is most definitely going to have to roll his fenders (unless he has stock drop). That's not a trivial matter. If he tries it himself (ala the baseball bat method) and fucks them up, you know he's gonna come back bitching to us. If he pays someone, it's just more $$$ he's going to have lay out that he wasn't aware of.

It's all about being responsible to our user community. That's why I have the MM title.

I agree, but at the end of the day it is all about trial & error. Trust me, everyone here told me I would have to spend more money to make my rims fit, but I made the decision to go on with it. If he does the same after reading this thread I don't think he has the right to come back and bitch to us because he heard it loud and clear from both sides lol all in this one page thread

We are all very glad you have an MM title. I run a 19X8 with a 40 offset. (which means mine stick out even more than his would) My car is lowered, and I cut the tabs and guess what? No rubs! Good thing you are an "MM", because that means you are a fender-clearing expert on wheels you dont have! Sorry if I come off as a dick, but it annoys me when people get so into proving someone wrong when in fact it is them who is wrong. Looks like it isnt such a trivial matter anymore huh?

Damn you're right....they do fit eh. What a fuckin' joke.
And as for being a dick to a mod, I'll let Neil handle that one, but all I can say is.......enjoy your vacation!
