Question OEM Strut Replacement

Morning Everyone...

I am looking for someone who has replaced their OEM struts on their TL that has NOT lowered their vehicle. I am trying to maintain stock ride quality. If I want a comprimised ride, I will drive my other vehicle (see username) . With 156k miles on my TL... the factory units are shot.

I am likely to go back to the OEM struts from Honda, but I am curious to see if anyone has used the Tokico HP's with stock springs. Tokico claims this will maintain an OEM-like ride quality... but I am hesitant.

What type of struts did you use and what were the results?

Thanks for your help.

The Tokico blues would be a good OEM substitute.

Price is not the issue. I am more concerned about maintaining stock ride.

Can anyone speak from experience on this?

I am getting the sense OEM is my best bet...

I'm also getting ready to replace my stock OEM shocks. I have the CompTech sway bars, which have worked great and have reduced the body roll. I only have 46K miles now, but my Left rear shock has lost fluid and a couple months ago, my Right rear shock link broke (there is supposed to be a service notice about the rear links breaking off).

I'm not looking to make the ride much stiffer, but my handling sucks now with the rear shocks seeming to bottom out on hard turns and then the rear breaks free. I'm considering the Tokico Blues, since the Illumina adjustable seems to only be for the Type-S on some catalogs.

Does anyone have the Tokico Blues on a non-lowered 2000 TL? How do they compare vs the stock shocks?

if price is not an issue and your biggest concern is ride quality, just go with OEM.
